My Son got 93 in SET and got in the first merit list of SCMS Noida for BBA. Should I prefer SCMS Noida or Shiv nadar or Jamia ?

Techo Nendo 1st Jun, 2018

Sir In My opinion dont opt for SCMS as My very close friend used to study there. He decided to Drop out just after one year. Let me tell you the reasons why he did so:

1) Faculty is very supportive but very rude

2) Less focus on studies

3) High Expenses other than fees like for their fest etc

4) Bad quality of students as many used to smoke and drink... even girls

5) Classes tend to get cancel frequently

6) even after investing about 7 lakhs for 3 years, placements are NOT AT ALL GREAT.... Out of 300 students hardly 10 students were placed through campus recruitment... rest have to apply off the campus.....

So in my opinion better go for other universities as scms noida is totally crap university.. and does not offer great return on investment..

P.S- Dont opt for SCMS unless it is Pune Campus

THANKS

i have scored 88 in set bba. But i forgot to pay for the institute course(1000rs one) is there anything that can be done now

padhyeaditi99 18th May, 2018

Hi friend,

As you have scored decent marks in the SET exam you have a greater probability of getting selected for the PI-WAT.

I got 86 marks in SET exam and got admission in one of the top college of Symbiosis International (deemed) University. They select students on the cumulative score of SET exam marks + PI-WAT marks(50% SET score+30%PI+20%WAT).Then based on this score 3 merit lists are prepared and students are ranked according to the marks they have scored.

Now, coming to your query, you will be getting admission in the colleges to which you have applied and paid fees.

The best thing you can do now is enquire directly via mail or phone to the college in which you want to get admitted.

Refer to this site -

a) https://www.set-test.org

b) https://set.ishinfo.com/SET2018/Register/Index.aspx#_ga=2.158688762.1364297660.1526626337-1684454062.1526626337

I hope this will help you. I wish you best of luck and may you get the best college you want to get admitted into.Do not worry much, you will definitely get what you want.Have some patience.

I have scored 88 marks in SET BBA under defence category. what chances do I hold to get short listed for Pune institute? Thanks

Deepjyoti Chowdhury 16th May, 2018

Hello Malhaar,

The SET BBA cutoff of Pune Institute for Open Category is 81 , for SC it is 45 , for ST it is 30, for differently abled it is 58 and for Kashmiri Migrant it is 51. These cutoffs are an estimate made by looking at the previous cutoffs of few years taken altogther.

Malhaar, you have fair chances of getting short listed. All the best.

Thankyou.

Any one got mail for selection process? ??sir I have got 85 in set bba any chances is there in bba it nd bba pune

Vikas Gaur 16th May, 2018

Hi Mayank,

Congratulations on your SET BBA result. The official cutoff hasn’t been released yet. It’s expected to be released by Symbiosis and member institutes in the last week of May. Once it’s released, you can check for which institutes you are eligible for admissions. If you qualify the cutoff marks, you’ll be shortlisted for next rounds of the selection process – PI and WAT.

Last year, the cutoff for general category for Symbiosis Noida was 91 marks. The official SET BBA 2018 cutoff will be updated on the following link as and when it’s released -

Do i have to give two PI-WATs if i am shortlisted for both Scms pune and noida

Nitika Agrawal 15th May, 2018

Hi Siddharth. Yes, you will have to give two WAT and PI when you get a call from these colleges. Every college will have different WAT and PI for the admission. If you get calls from 5 different colleges, you will have to appear for 5 PI and WAT.

Thank You!

I have scored 91 in the SET 2018, What is the cutoff and when would i receive an email or a call for the PI?

shreyapandey96 Student Expert 15th May, 2018
Hi bhavith
Greetings

It depends upon the number of people that appeared in the test and how many scored more than you. Its really difficult to predict such things. Say, let the cutoff is 100, you got 106, you are qualified. But the intake is say 150, they call 300 students for interview, your rank is 301, even if you qualify the parameters you wont be called. But dont lose hope.
