Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavur
Dear aspiratant,
SASTRA University admission 2021 batch is currently open. SASTRA Deemed University admission 2021 is both merit and entrance-based for all programmes. Admissions to both these programmes are strictly based on merit scores in Class 12 and JEE Main exam under two streams. These include: 1.Based on JEE Main scores (25% weightage) and Class 12 aggregates (75% weightage) for 70% of the total seats.
2.Based on Class 12 aggregate for 30% of the total seats.
* Stream 1 Admission Process
The combined score of a student calculated via both these streams to determine SASTRA rank and admission will be based on the secured SASTRA rank. Total seats in stream one are filled via following methods:
1. 30% seats in BTech are reserved for students who have completed their Class 10 and Class 12 from schools in Thanjavur & Trichy districts.
2.30% of the seats are offered to those who complete their Class 10 and Class 12 from schools in Tamil Nadu (Puducherry included). Remaining 40% seats are aligned to students their Class 10 and Class 12 from schools outside Tamil Nadu.
* Stream 2 Admission Process
Candidates are allowed to attend the counselling for stream two even if they are admitted under stream one to change branch (if they intend to). Both the streams, however, are merged after the second round counselling based on the number of left over seats and seats filled based on merit. There is no cutoff needed for sastra university.
Hope this is helpful for you.
Thank you

Hi aspirant,
At first Congratulations on your wonderful performance in the senior secondary examinations. There are majorly two modes of admission in BTech program at Sastra University which includes either based upon jee main+ 12th boards score or entirely on board's score. Look there is no cutoffs or minimum score criteria required for getting a seat. The admission procedure is completely done on merit basis through a counselling process. The percentage and choices preferences of candidates are collected and then verified before releasing the merit list. If you are among the top candidates aspiring for CSE or Information Technology and your merit number is above the total number of seats available, you will get it. Your chances are good considering the previous trends. The same procedure is applicable to all the courses, just fill the choices in order of your preferences. If you want to apply including the jee main score as well then your score will be calculated as (.75*Board's Percentage + .25* Jee Percentile) and a merit list would be prepared considering of scores from other candidated as well.

Hi
For the admission in sastra university there is a particular criteria. The admission in this university is done in 2 streams
Stream 1: students are admitted based on their 12th standard results adding jee mains score to it. More than 70% seats are filled this way. The university considers 75% intermediate marks and the rest of the 25% from jee mains
Stream 2 : the remaining 30% seats is filled through this procedure. It only considers the 12th percentage. Students below 95% have a hard time getting admission through this stream. Based on this score he has a good chance of getting in sastra university
Cse, it, and ece are the most sought out branches of engineering. This branches provide lucrative jobs with rewarding salaries. The 3 branches are almost similar with ece providing a detailed knowledge about electronics along with computer programming and coding. The top recruiters from this university are amazom, cisco, oracle,CTS, IBM, TCS, HP, ACCENTURE, MORGAN STANLEY, PAYPAL,FORD, WIPRO, INFOSYS. The highest salary package was rs 28.5 lpa and the average package is rs 9.3 lpa. So the placements from this university is good. Most of the students are recruited from this 3 branches especially ECE and CSE.

Hello aspirant,
Hope you are doing fine.
SASTRA university does not give admission on the basis of JEE mains only it also consider the board percent which should be 95+ or minimum 90+ And in mains 100+. They prepare their own merit list on the basis of 2 criteria: ... Admissions r given by taking 25% weightage of JEE mains and 75% of boards.
There are maximum chances that you will get admission at this percentile and marks.
Total is 165 marks. Out of 165 marks what are your marks based on that they will give the seat. There are 351 CSE seats so you need to get rank under 351 when marks are calculated out of 165. There is no reservation on the basis of caste at SASTRA University. The only reservation you can get is through the local category. However, there is a 'Trichy quota ', a 'Thanjavur quota ', and a 'Tamil Nadu quota'.
Thank you.
Hello Gracy,
As you have mentioned that you have got 854 marks in state board and you JEE mains percentile was 81 so, let me tell you that for admission in sastra University 30% weightage is given to 12th marks and 70% weightage is given to JEE mains percentile.
So, they would prepare a merit list on the basis of these scores and you will be admitted after that. So, it is not possible to predict the exact thing because it would depend on number of candidates appearing in the counselling, number of vacant seats in college.
