Shanmugha Arts Science Technology Research and Academy, Thanjavur
hi,
see sastra university has two mode of admission, in stream 1 mode admission is based on 12th score + jee main score, where 70 percentage weightage is given to 12th score, 25 percentage weightage is given to jee main score, however since number of candidates is huge and right now cse is one of the demanding stream in india, you have less chances to get cse in stream 1 mode, in stream 2 mode admission is based on only 12th score, however 70 percentage of total seats fills by stream 1 mode of admission process. so I suggest you also apply for stream 2 mode or again you are appearing in jee main exam give your best for the exam.
Hi,
SASTRA University is located in Thanjavur district, TamilNadu.
The admission to all the programmes are offered only based on merit, so these are conducted into 2 streams: Stream 1 and Stream 2.
1. Stream 1: the admissions are based on JEE Mains and your 12th grade marks. (70% of seats)
2. Stream 2: the admissions are based on just your 12th grade marks. (30% of seats)
So to answer your question:
The weightage for JEE Mains and 12 Class marks are 25% and 75% respectively. So the combined score will determine your SASTRA rank and admission will be based on this.
They calculate this using the following formula:
So for example you have secured score of 180 in JEE Mains and then 90% in your Class 12 Examination; this will be calculated as (0.25*180) + (0.75*90) = 112.5
So I guess based on this formula, the cutoff has been decided to be 165.
Hope this helps.
Admission in Sastra University for B.Tech and Integrated M.Tech course is done on two modes
1. 70 % of seats will be filled based on +2 aggregate marks and 1st JEE Main Score.
2. 30% seats will be filled based on +2 aggregate marks
Since only 30% of seats are available in mode 2. It will be a tough competition. But you can be confident enough since you have a very good percentile. Best of Luck.
You have a very good percentile in both +2 and Jee Mains. You have a good chance to get admission in your desired department. Best of Luck.

Hello,
The cutoff of SASTRA University varies year to year as for stream 1 they will consider 75% percent of your board and 25% of your jee score . So In order to gain a seat there and to make confirmation you should go for 90+ percentage in board and an average score in jee . you should score as much high as you can and try your luck.
Hope it helps!
