Is maths necessarily required to get admission in colleges like SRCC , Symbiosis or presidency kolkata

mansiprofessional234 Student Expert 1st Aug, 2018

Hey,

It does not depend on the college you want to apply for,  rather it depends upon the course you want to apply for.Like see,  if you want admission in maths or physics honours, then maths is compulsory but if you want to take sanskrit or any part of social science honours then you do not need maths as a compulsory subject.

Hope you got your doubts cleared:)

Hi Praveen,

  • College follows the admission guidelines, schedule and criteria as notified by the University of Delhi. candidates  must be registered centrally through online facility of the University of Delhi for the courses available in the College.
  • College will announce cut-offs for candidates of all the main categories (Gen/OBCs/SCs/STs/PwD) for B.Com (Hons.)
  • All the registered candidates meeting the cut-offs will be given admission after satisfactory verification of requisite documents required for admission. Therefore 'First Come First Serve' criteria will not be applicable for admission.

What will be expected second cut off at SRCC for ST category?

nishant sharma 20th Jun, 2018

dear student,

SRCC, one of the best colleges for commerce students in India has similar high cutoffs making it impossible for majority of people.

The cutoff for Economics honours is higher than bcom students. Since the last few years the cutoff for Economics honours has been close to 98% and bcom just behind with 97%.

Last year the cutoff closed at 97.5 for Economics and 97 for bcom.

Hope you get admission in SRCC!

Hii ravindra

SRCC has the highest cut off when it comes to bcom courses or economic hons. Your chance depends on the category reservation and the course in which you are interested. Wait for the cut offs to get a more clear picture.

Hi! I got 98.25% in 12th. Can I expect a confirmed admission in SRCC even after speculations of high cut off this year?

Siimran Pal 29th May, 2018

Hello

Congrats on your amazing score, You can expect admission but probably in the third or fourth list once the cut off falls a bit.

Despite working so hard and scoring so well, its sad to see students unsure of their confirmation.

According to previous year records, you will be able to get a place but you might have to wait a little. I would suggest having backup colleges ready just in case this doesnt work out
All the best toyou
