I got 96.6% in class 12th exams CBSE. I had opted for maths (additional) but did not appear for it. Am i eligible for taking admission in

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 8th May, 2019
Hii Arpit
No you are not eligible for taking admissions in bachelor's of commerce honours offered by the college's of the University of Delhi , New Delhi. You need to have maths as a subject and must have atleast passed it to be eligible. You can give a performance enhancement test for your mathematics subject and can apply next year.
Hope it helps
Thanks

I have got 95% in top 4 subjects and want to pursue B.com (hons) from SRCC or LSR or Hindu college. Can I expect it?

Shreya gupta 6th May, 2019
Hi
Firstly congratulations for getting 95% in Plus two examination. Now it's percentage you can surely get admission in Shri Ram College of commerce, lady Shri Ram or Hindu College.

Best of four calculation method:
Your best of four percentage for DU colleges will include two academic or elective subjects, one language and the subject in which the admission is being sought.

In case you have studied both elective and core in any languages, the core language will be treated as language.

If you are applying for admission to honours in Commerce, you must have studied and passed Mathematics in the qualifying examination.

Person who have studied the elective language will get an advantage of 2% in the best four percentage. This rule is applicable only to those who apply for honours degree in any language course.

On the other hand, if you have studied the language in the qualifying examination, and are seeking admission in Honours course in that language will have a disadvantage of 5% in the best four percentage

I hope I was helpful
All the best

Hey i scored 97 percent in class 12 . Do i have any chance of getting into srcc. Will cut offs rise or fall this year?

Aryaman Tewari 14th May, 2019
Yes, a little tough but nevertheless a chance.

Srcc offers only two course - BCom (H) and Economics (H).

While Eco Hons is a little out of reach for you since cutoff normally stops at 97.5 percent, you do stand a slight chance of getting into the Commerce Course. Last year, the cutoff was 97.5. this year, the cut off might rise or fall. You will only come to know on June 14th, be updated!
Good luck.

Hello mam! Congrats on your result.

With 93.4% and belonging to SC caste, you can get admission in SRCC, DU. The previous cutoff list went to 90% in third cutoff for B.com(hons) in SRCC. Just make sure your calculated percentage aren't passed through any cuts as according to college rules. These cuts are for adding marks of some optional subjects in best 4!

I got 96.75% in class 12 board examinations cbse , can I get admission in srcc if I have a sc reservation quota as well??

kulvinder 4th May, 2019

Hi there,
Hope you are doing well.
Yes, with 96.75% in class 12 and SC reservation, you can easily get a seat in SRCC, one of the premier colleges of Delhi University.
For SC Category, the final B.Com( Hons.) cutoff was around 90-92% for different cutoff lists while for B.A.(Hons.) Economics, it was around 93-95%.
So, even if the cutoffs rise this year a bit, you will still have your chance.
Hope it would help.
Thank You.

I got 94% in my best 4 subject I am from commerce stream with maths Am I eligible for srcc bcom hons (side note - general category )

Aryaman Tewari 2nd May, 2019
Unfortunately, not.

Shri Ram College of Commerce is the best undergraduate commerce college in the whole country, and hence the cutoffs go very high. They release two cutoffs, and the cutoffs normally close at 97 percent. So I am afraid you have less chance.

But don't worry, you might get some other North Campus College with your score. They are also very good.

Good luck.

My sister secured 97.2 5 in Boards, can she get LSR or SRCC for Eco Hons?

Adil Suaib Khan Student Expert 2nd May, 2019
Hii Anshul
She would definitely get a seat in the university of Delhi top notch Colleges like the Shri ram college of commerce , hansraj college , ramjas college for pursuing the course of bachelor's in economics honours . She might not get shri ram college in the first cut off off issued by the university of Delhi on their official website but she might get it in the next cut offs.

Whats the expected cut off of SRCC and LSR this year?

Deepshikha Student Expert 23rd Apr, 2019
Hey,
The cutoff is subjected to variation depending upon the difficulty of the boards exams and the highest marks obtained in the respective stream, plus, the number of candidates belonging to different categories, appearing for the exam. Moreover, the cutoff is different for every course.
Lady Shriram College and Shri ram college of Commerce are amongst the best of all the colleges in the University of Delhi so the cutoff is always high for them. The cutoff can be as high as 98 per cent or above. In any case,a percentage above 97 or above is the generally considered reliable to make it to these colleges.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.

I want to know about eco honours in srcc

kashishjuneja2000_8032841 Student Expert 17th Apr, 2019

The  admission for economic honours in srcc is on the basis of percentage scored in class 12th in the best four subjects. The cut off is very high for general category. The last cut off is more than 98%. So to get in this college you really need to score very well in class 12th
