Siddaganga Institute of Technology, Tumkur
Hello aspirant,
SIT cse branch has a good reputation of almost 100% placement. Average packages can be recognised in the range of 3-5 lakhs per annum. Companies like JPmorgan, Sony, SAP labs, Redbus ,TCS and many more have visited the campus during 2017-2018. The highest on campus placement was by SAP labs with 9-10 lakhs per annum. So yes SIT is one the best colleges for cse branch. Good luck!
Based on cutoffs of all the branches in SIT during the year 2018, sorry but you will not get a kcet seat in that college. SIT is one the top 20 engineering colleges in Karnataka and cutoff ranks even for reservation category are within 1 lakh! The only branch you wil get there, provided you belong to SCR category is industrial management which had cutoff rank of 129635 during the year 2018. Otherwise it not possible to get a seat In SIT. But there other colleges such as presidency Bangalore or Mycem mysore which would take in your rank. But you might have to settle for the branch they offer and cannot choose your desired branch. So good luck!
SIT tumkur happens to be one of the top 20 engineering colleges in Karnataka. As CSE is the trending branch now, they have good infrastructure and faculty facilities for cse. But there are better colleges then SIT tumkur which offer good packages and having exposure to industries. NIE mysore, SJCE mysore, PES Bangalore, BMS Bangalore, MS ramaiah, DSCE, NMIT and few other colleges better than SIT. But talking particularly about SIT tumkur cse branch, then yes it is good branch in the respective college.
Based on surveys and reviews, BIT Bangalore has better placement offers for telecommunication compared to SIT. As BIT is situation in Bangalore it has more exposure to industries and hence gives you early experience for the job. More over, when you are in Bangalore you have opportunities to go for walk in interviews. So i suggest you to go for BIT Bangalore.good luck!
Hey,
Talking about SIT Tumkur, placements in this college will be as usual as in any average private college. Many good companies come to recruit students, and the average salary package offered will be around 4 to 5 lacs per annum. According to previous year's, in electronics and communications department, one can get a salary package as high as 10 LPA. The placement rate of EC department in this college is really good. But decent in CSE department.
Now about BMSIT Bangalore placements in this college are pretty good compared to other SIT Tumkur college. The average salary package offered ranged between 6 to 7 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was around 4 LPA and the highest salary package went up to 27 LPA. CSE and ISE departments are the best for placements.
So for CSE branch the placements are better in BMSIT Bangalore than SIT Tumkur.
Hope this helps,
GOOD LUCK!

Based on surveys and student reviews, here is the order of the colleges you have listed according to their rank
If you want good placements then your first preference should go to jss for both cse and ise. Though nie and JSS give a tough competition for the 1st place among the engineering colleges in mysore, jss is known to have more placement offers followed by NIE. Also Both nie and JSS come within the top 10 colleges of mysore. So either cse or ise go for jss at first, then comes nie, later dayanand sagar, followed by SIT. Good luck!
SIT is a better choice for cse as it is one of the top 100 engineering colleges in the country. It is a strict college but has a very good learning environment. The infrastructure and placements are good and better than most other colleges but that purely depends on your placement performance
