I suppose you are talking about Manipal Entrance test. Since you have not mentioned any stream as such I will give you the general view of thse two places.

First of all, SMIT has been ranked 46 by India Today for engineering colleges and the same has ranked Manipal Jaipur at 54.

Second, comparison:

Sikkim Manipal- The companies that come for placement include  Amazon, Britannia,Cipla, Dell , Infosys , Just Dial , Microsoft ,Reliance,SONY ,Tata Motors ,TCS ,Tech Mahindra,  TitanIndustries , Wipro ,Zomato etc with around 92% students getting placed and an average package of 3.2 lakh per annum. The faculty is very supporting and knowledgeable and the infrastructure is good with fully wifi enabled campus.

Jaipur Manipal- The companies visiting include  Accenture ,Amazon, American Express ,BirlaSoft ,Bristlecone India , Dell , Ericsson India , Goldman Sachs , L T , Microsoft ,National Instruments and Philips India. The average package is 6 lakh per annum and around 80% students getting placed every year. The campus is wifi enabled and the infrastructure is good. The faculty is very good with well updated syllabus and curriculum.

According to me Sikkim Manipal is better.

The average package offered of thr Sikkim Manipal Institute is 2 LPA to 5LPA  for the branches except civil and mechanical departments. The placements for those branches is about 5- 10 % . Sikkim Manipal Institute is emerging as a good college.

Actually you have not mentioned about which examination you are talking about. But in general if you belongs to any special cast like SC ST OBC primary tribe bhutiya or lepcha, you can apply for Sikkim higher education quota, during filling up the form.
