The present situation of mechanical engineers, quite encouraging. This branch has maintained consistency for the past couple of decades.

As we all know, in mechanical engineering there are four major areas like:

i) Manufacturing engineering,

ii) Design engineering,

iii) Thermal engineering,

iv) Industrial engineering / Management.

no this is not possible .. you can do lateral entry btech but this option is only available after 1 year you can switch in second year only but not in 3rd year .
