As you have not mentioned your category because cutoff depends on that  we will consider to general category and give you information regarding that. If you belong to general category it will be hard to get admission with this rank.As there are approximately 700 seats out of 1500 seats for general male candidates and since the competition as increased the cut off will tends to increase. The general category candidates need to score below 700 rank to be on the safe zone.

Hello,based on the last year trend you may get admission in government college itself since the allotment will be made based on your category rank. Also the total seats are around 2000 including both government and private colleges and keeping the competition in mind your chances of securing top college might be less but you are more likely to get a seat in government college.

first of all you must know that there total 22 government colleges in SMFWBEE. Now come to your rank there is a slight chance you can get a seat if you wait for 2nd or 3rd round because there are 2000 seats(govt+private) in SMFWBEE. So for OBC-A there are roughply 400 seats or less seats available for the OBC-A category. So you have to wait till the last round because there is a slight chance in getting the government college. But you know one thing for sure that you can definately alloted the private college seat.

State Medical Faculty West Bengal Entrance Examination is conducted for students to secure admission into Para Medical Courses in different government and non-government medical institutions.The overall rank you have secured is good but for open category to get a good college the safe rank can be 600-800 below , but still it depends more on the number of seats available and the number of candidates applying. If the competition is really high then it might be difficult for you to get good govt. college but you would still have good options. However, your category rank is good so through that, yes , you have fair chance to get a good  govt. college.It all depends on the competition .

The general category closing seats are upto 600 only according to previous year cut-off for SMFWB. It seems your rank is very higher to meet the cuttoff score which will not help to get admission in government college. Hope this was helpful for you.
