Candidates who get admission to the BA (Hons) Sociology programme offered at the Jawaharlal Nehru University are required to pay the fees according to the following components as mentioned below:

  • Tuition Fees (Annual): Rs. 216
  • Sports Fees (Annual): Rs. 16.50
  • Literary and Cultural Fees (Annual): Rs. 16.50
  • Library Fees (Annual): Rs. 6
  • Medical fees (Annual): Rs. 9
  • Students Aid Fund (Annual): Rs.4.50
  • Medical Booklet: Rs. 12
  • Admission Fees: Rs. 5
  • Enrolment Fees: Rs. 5
  • Security Deposit (Refundable): Rs.40
  • Identity Card Folder: Rs. 10
  • Student Hostel and General Information Guide: Rs. 15
  • National Service Scheme: Rs. 20

Admission Fees, Enrolment Fees and Security Deposit are to be paid at the time of Enrolment in the University and the Tuition Fees is to be realised in two instalments. Total fees which a candidate must pay to get admission to the BA (Hons) Sociology programme is Rs. 375.5.
