to become a software developer as a professional it is recommended that you choose science field upon the completion of your 10th standard. Preferably choose a science stream, with Mathematics as a subject, as Mathematics is a crucial part of software development. Many of the concepts used in software development comprises of Mathematics background.

You are willing to study BTech in software technology in Australia University. The student who have secured 65% marks in 12th standard examination will be eligible for appearing that admission test of that respective University. The IELTS international English language test system, TOEFL test of English as a foreign language, PTE Pearson test of English, should be taken before admission in Australian University.
If a student it does not secure or less than 65% marks in 12th standard they have to do a foundation course in Australia before admission.
If student can do job and continue to study then there is scope for student also.

In USA, software developer usually earns between $90,000-110,000 per annum with experience while in Canada, a software developer can earn $80,000-90,000 per annum. Nowadays there is a lot of competition among Students as lakhs of Engineers graduate in the same year and same time! So, you must make yourself competent amongst others to make your way through. Having B.E. / B.Tech. Degree is not enough these days! So if you want to make yourself more improved then go ahead with M.E. / M.Tech. Or if you give more importance to job, then try to get placed in your college placements. Some IT based companies are Infosys, CTS, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Walmart, Tech Mahindra, etc,. So, choose what you desire!

The admission procedure for computer engineering course will depend on the college you are going to join. You need not write about your career expectation in the application form unless it is specifically asked . May be if there is an interview round in the college you wish to join, they may ask about your future goals and career plans , and you say it then.
