Hello satyam , to become a software engineer you should take computer sciecnce branch in any engineering college. In order to enter any engineering college with computer science, you should give engineering entrance examinations like JEE etc. All the best for your future endeavours.

If you wanna be a software engineer you have to take up Computee science engineering so this is the course you have to choose and if you want to be a good software engineering start studying languages like python ,java,c,c++ so on and few trending subjects linke machine learning,AI.
No computer science is not necessary to join BTECH as an Cse engineering but you had studied computer science it would be helpful in understanding concepts and without computer science as a subject also you could do BE BTech in CSE and ISE
