I have bachelors of Commerce degree can i join IT field as a software engineer or Data analyst???

Sumedha Bhattacharya 5th Apr, 2022

Dear Student ,

Look , to get a job in IT fields .. your gained skills are the most important factor than your degree domain as per most of the companies . But , yes .. few companies may give limited access for B.Tech /MCA /M.sc students only for some job roles . You need to check the respective portal of their website for that to clarify the eligibility criteria they required .

Well, as you are a commerce student .. so you need to apply for job through offline campusing i.e. you need to search your own the available companies that are hiring freshers .

Some important tips to crack the off campus placement :

  • You should have a knowledge of at least one programming like C/C++/Java/Python etc.
  • Practice hands on coding on a regular basis
  • practice Aptitude and logical reasoning questions for qualifying the round 1
  • Go through the PYQs for individual companies
  • For a specific job role , you need to know the requirement of companies and learn accordingly that topics , concepts to increase your hiring chances

Hope this helps !

Im in 11 std. i want to prepare for upsc i choose maths science subject what should i do to crack upsc exams. and whats the process to strt in 11 cls. Im very confused. idk what should i choose can u pls help me for making me confident to choose any stream to achieve what i want.

piyush singh 25th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant ,

It is always better to choose your goal as soon as possible , you should choose whatever stream you want , it will not affect your chances of selection in UPSC , some people say that choosing Arts stream will be better ,but the difference is very small .

As you are in class 11 you should start your preparation by Reading NCERT of class 6 to class 12 (History , civics , geography ,economics etc) and keep a close eye to important events happening in the News all around the world ( Current Affairs) , go on YouTube search toppers strategy video , information about UPSC ,types of questions asked etc.

If you are confused about the stream , you should select PCM as you will have a better scope in future and you can also get a decent backup.

software engineer kaise bante hai ushme kitni padhai karni padti hai or JEE ki exams diye bager GUJCET or board exam ke sath pass kiyegaye 12th ke baad kese suru karna chahiye or kitna time lagta hai software engineer banne me or ushki salary kitni ho skti hai ?or kitna course hota h

Anurag Khanna 20th Mar, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

See Software engineering role has not to do anything with JEE-Main or GUJCET. See it is not mandatory that you should have degree of B.Tech/BE to be the Software Engineering in any company instead a normal B.Sc. student can also be a software engineer in any MNC if he/she has required skills of programming and good problem solving ability.

No as far as regarding entrance examination so, after class 12th, if you pursue B.Tech. in Computer Science Engineering then it would definitely be beneficial for your future role of software engineer and if you want to pursue engineering from engineering colleges of Gujarat then it is not mandatory to appear for JEE-Main except in some of the colleges like NIT Surat, IIITs (Admission to engineering courses are only made through JEE-Main score) and some more colleges but GUJCET can also get you into those colleges.

Now bachelor's program of engineering is only of 4 years but if you want to pursue Master's as well then it is of further 2 years more but for software engineering role minimum Bachelor's degree is required so it would take at least 4 years to be a full time software engineer.

Pay of software engineer depends upon different factors like post, experience and company, like there are various roles for a Software engineer like SDE-1, SDE-2 and also some other roles which are categorized on the basis of candidate's experience and hence the pay (CTC) varies from 12 LPA to 2 Cr./Annum.

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!
