Anna University in Madurai was established in 2010 and is ranked 12 in the latest NIRF ranking. It offers 4 undergraduate and 2 postgraduate programs in full-time mode with multiple specializations. Admission to all the courses is entrance based. Students are required to present TNEA scores for UG courses and TANCET for PG courses in order to secure admission to the college Aspirants who wish to take admission in the college have to register themselves online on the college official website and apply for the respective courses there. The institute is well furnished with all the facilities such as clubs, Libraries, wi-fi etc.to provide premier experience and learning to their students.

If we go through the placement's then it is good there some of top recruiter's are came like tcs ,Infosys, wipro ,tech mahindra etc.. with the average salary package of 3.2 to 4.5 it depends upon employer .

But if we go through the students feed back and rating of both colleges then  Sona college of technology is occupied better place rather then Anna University -Madurai and placement's is also not best in this Anna university .So as per my recommended Sona college of technology is good in everything so you can choose this one for your carer    .

Hey Vasanth! Candidates can register online for admission to any UG or PG course offered by the college. They have to register separately for each course. The registration process is free of cost. The candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent qualifying examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from any recognized university to get admission in BE/ B.Tech. To get admission in ME/ M.Tech, MBA and MCA courses, it is mandatory for the candidates to have a Bachelor’s Degree in the respective discipline from any recognized university.

For B.Tech program, selection of the candidates is done on the basis of marks in 10+2/ HSC or its equivalent examination. For ME/ M.Tech, MBA and MCA courses, the selection is done on the basis of candidate’s performance in TANCET, CET, MAT or GATE including the percentage in Graduation or Diploma Degree courses.

you are an average student from Tamil Nadu and if you are not competitive enough to get admission in better colleges like NITs, IITs, then it is okay. You can just expect to get engineering degree easily. But if you are wishing for better future, it might not be right place.

Judge your quality yourself.

It is not suitable for international students. The reasons are:—

• It is private college. It is far better to study in anyone's native country than to opt for Sona.
• Faculties are not well experienced. Teachers create their own science.
• If you are foreign student and expecting to have some competition, then Sona is not correct place. The students come through counseling. Most of the students haven't even heard of IITs. They don't know what JEE, AIEEE exams are. Too low IQ.
• System of the college is shit. They do not bother about your interest.
• If you are student from foreign country, then, try for NITs, IIITs. Otherwise stydy in your native country.

One positive aspect is you will get a very good GPA. If you have good link with teacher, they give you full marks. My friends over there have a perfect scores over 9.5
