Sona college of technology is an autonomous institution. It is better to study in an autonomous institution because they train students according to what actually is required by the industries during the recruitment process. The course structure is flexible although the college has to stick on to the ground rules. College is affiliated under Anna university.

A candidate studying here will understand his/her actual benefits of doing an UG degree here at the time of placement .

I am sorry to inform you that sona college of technology does not offer the course textile technology but it offers the course fashion technology which has an integrity of the course objectives of textile technology in good amount. Fashion technology integrates concepts of textile and fashion and the students benefit knowledge of knowing about how fibre is made converted to gaarment and is retailed in market for money. Fashion technology department has 2 aicte awards and stands one in top colleges offering the course.

The fee structure varies for every departments accordingly. This college offers courses like mechanical, civil, eee, ece, it, cse, ft, mechattronics and biotechnology. Every department has different fee structure. Although the structure is in between 75000-100000 per annum, depening upon the course only.  The hostel fee starts from 40000 per annum and varies according to your requirement only.

He/she must have scored the minimum cut off mark required to obtain a seat in a particular department. The college offers technical knowledge and trains you to be the best in the industrial aspect.
