All the best.
Feel free to ask any questions.
Hi,
As marks and cutoff are a very relative concept, therefore, it is not possible to accurately predict what percentile you’ll get in the exam. However, as per the updates, this year’s result is expected to be better in comparison to the previous year exams as the difficulty level of XAT ranged between Moderate to Difficult. Therefore, a rough expected percentile for your raw score is expected to be somewhere between 89-90. However, please note that this is not the ultimate result, so please consider this likewise.
Now coming to getting a call from XLRI, since it is a premium Business instituition, it’s cutoff is as high as befits it. This years expected cutoff is expected to be around 95-96 percentile. But there are other good options too like SPJIMR, Mumbai (90+); XIMB, Bhubhaneshwar (92-93); IMT, Ghaziabad (89-90) and the list goes on.
I wish you all the best and I hope this helped you, please feel free to contact me for any query.

SP Jain Institute of Management and Research provides 4 fields to choose from:
1. Finance
2. Information
3. Operations
4. Marketing.
You have to select any 2 of these specializations, whichever you find most relevant to you and to your field.
There are 2 ways of selection.
1) Score based calls: You need minimum 95% - 97% in CAT
2) Profile based calls: Since this is done before the results of CAT, these are based on your profile. Make sure you have the right work experience, extra curricular activities and achievements that matches to the field you have chosen. But for this you need a CAT score of minimum 80% overall and 70% in all sections.
If you get the call, you will have to go through numerous test, such as:
1) Word Association Test: This is basically a personality and mental test that aims to know the mental function of the candidate by show them few words and the first thought comes in the candidate's mind.
2) Psycometric Test: This test is done to test the candidate's intelligence, skills and personality.
3) Group Interview: This is done to test your knowledge upon the field you have chosen. Questions on General and current affairs will be asked. If you qualify, you will be asked to sit in the next round of Group Interview where general questions like your strengths/ weaknesses, your talents and hobbies, your personalities, views on certain issues etc
Hope this helps.

Hi Vishal,
In general the forms open only once. However some colleges like IMT Ghaziabad open the slot after CAT for a period of 2-3 days. SP Jain and JBIMS do not reopen the forms as per my knowledge. So it is best to apply for them in the first go itself because these are anyway among the top 20 B schools in India and most students aim at joining these colleges.
Please apply to them. Even if you may later decide not to join, you atleast do not loose out on an opportunity.
