I have to answer comedk and have been allotted a seat at SRM kattankulathur and paid the counseling fee of 1.1 lakh. is it possible to keep the seat as backup until I get my comedk results? pls give me a response!!!!

Shja 25th Jun, 2021
Dear Aspirant,

It's actually a wise decision to be on a safe side. After you get your COMEDK results you may switch to a different colleges if you get a better college and a better branch for instance. You can ask for refund but 100% refund is not guaranteed. The sooner you get the result the better as the refund money will depend on how late you ask for refund. There is a deduction in the money refunded if you are late beyond a certain date. You can check the official website to know about it more. I hope you make the right decision.

Hope this Helps!

I opted for both the phases of srm when I was filling for the first one. So do we have to pay additional fees if we opt for both the phases simultaneously or not? Because I didnt get any option to pay other than the initial 1100.

Arshiya 24th Jun, 2021
Hello Aspirant,

SRMJEE is conducted in two phases . Students who are not satisfied with their phase 1 performance can apply for second phase of the exam. The application has to be separate for the second phase and hence you will have to pay fees for the second phase too if you want to apply.

Its fees is Rs1100 epr slot so, the fees you paid was just for phase 1 . You need to pay again if you want to go for phase 2.

how much rank should I get in srm exam to get seat in srm main campus with ece group

Sree Student Expert 24th Jun, 2021

Hello Bhaskar,

Based on previous year's cut-offs of B.Tech Electronics and Communication Engineering in SRM Main Campus that is SRM Main Campus, experts has given this year cut-off as 26700 - 27200. To be on safe side it is better to get below 20000 or 25000 Rank in SRMJEEE. Cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam etc.

To get more information about SRMJEEE Cut-offs go through below link.

What is a better option between SRM - KTR CSE in first round or VIT Vellore CSE in category 3 ? What to choose ?

Aditya 24th Jun, 2021

Hi Eeshan,

At first congratulations for your success in both the examinations. If you can afford the fee for category 3 in VIT Vellore that is around 4 lacs per annum then you should definitely go for VIT over SRM. Vellore institute of technology has higher prospects  and can give you better return of investment. The nirf engineering ranking of Vellore institute of technology is 13 while that of SRM institute of technology and sciences is around 42. VIT has better placement records with hire average packages. The average package for computer science and engineering at VIT is around 7 lacs while that in SRM is around 4.5-5 lacs.

Hope it helps!!
