B.Tech in mechatronics is available in SRM Kattankulathur but it is not there in VIT. You can also check the courses available in both the universities by going through the below links -

The Admission for B.tech is done through its own Entrance examination SRMJEE. As you didn't mention for which branch you are asking for SRM. You can check the eligibility to apply for all the branches of SRM & further admission process with given below link.

Assuming you are ready spend a lot on the fees
1. Bits ( if you crack the exam)
2. Amrita ( Coimbatore branch CSE only , don't take any thing else other than that in that college, it's below par)

You can apply for SRM University admissions in online mode as the application window is still open till 31st-March-2018. Also, the entrance examination of SRMJEEE 2018 will be conducted by SRM University in from Apri 16 to April 30, 2018.

Hello,
From the above options that you have mentioned,SRM UNIVERSITY (main campus) will be a good one to do aeronautics engineering .This college has much better placement records than the other college and you will have good experience in this college.

SRM and VIT are deemed universities that's why fee structure of the colleges are high. SRM and VIT comes in top private colleges of engineering.

 

Deemed universities are the universities which enjoy some privileges over other universities. Deemed university can decide their own syllabus, admissions and fees on the other
