Yes, if you secure a rank below 100 in SRMJEEE , you may be eligible for a 100% tuition fee waiver at SRM University AP under the SRM Founder’s Scholarship. This scholarship typically includes:

  • Full tuition fee waiver

  • Hostel fee waiver (including mess charges)

  • Valid for all 4 years of the B.Tech program, provided you maintain the required academic performance each year.

However, exact eligibility and continuation criteria can vary year to year, so it’s best to confirm with the SRM AP admissions office or official website. SRM university-AP (https://srmap.edu.in/admission-india/engineering/seas-scholarships/)

My son got 95.2% perceile in JEE mains first attempt ,wants CS have applied in manipal, vellore, ComedK, and BiTs. in Bits he is ok with electronic and communication in Goa also. Do I need to apply more colleges ,we dont want SRM. Between Symbiosis and Kalinga which is better (Wont give jee advance)

kumardurgesh1802 12th Mar, 2025

Hello there,

Your son has a strong 95.2% percentile in JEE Mains, which gives him a good chance for CS in decent colleges through COMEDK and Manipal. Here's a clear plan:

  1. Current Applications:

    • Manipal: Good chance for CS at Manipal or Jaipur campus.
    • VIT Vellore: High chance of getting CS in the second or third category.
    • COMEDK: Likely to secure CS in top colleges like RV, BMS, or MSRIT with that percentile.

    • BITS: If he's comfortable with ECE in Goa, that's a strong backup option since BITS has good placement in both CS and ECE.

  2. Additional Applications: No need to apply to more private universities unless you want extra backup.

  3. Symbiosis vs Kalinga:

    • Symbiosis: Better for management and business fields, not as strong in engineering.

    • Kalinga (KIIT): Better for engineering with strong infrastructure and placement in CS and IT fields.

Recommendation: KIIT is a better choice for engineering.

Overall, the current options (Manipal, VIT, COMEDK, BITS) are sufficient for CS. KIIT could be a backup, but Symbiosis is less suitable for CS.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries, then feel free to share your questions with us, we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you, and I wish you all the best in your bright future.

what should I write in digi locker id space in srm application. its not accepting my username with special characters

Prachi Kumari 1st Jan, 2025

Hello,

In the SRM application, if the DigiLocker ID space is not accepting your username with special characters, follow these steps:

  1. Use only alphanumeric characters : DigiLocker IDs typically allow only letters and numbers.
  2. Remove special characters : Avoid using symbols like @, #, $, etc., and use only your name or an alphanumeric combination.
  3. Use a simplified version : If you have a username with special characters, try using just the alphanumeric part.
  4. Check the DigiLocker guidelines : Refer to the official instructions for acceptable formats.
  5. Contact support : If issues persist, reach out to SRM’s support for clarification.

Hope it helps !

How much safe marks is required in SRMJEEE 2025 for getting ECE branch in SRM KTR campus? Also please tell me for atleast 25 percent fees reduction, how much marks shall i aim in my mocks? I even belong to gen ews category. Currently i am scoring around 60/125.

Mitali Sharma 23rd Nov, 2024

Hi

To get the Electronics and Communication Engineering ( ECE ) branch at SRM KTR (Kattankulathur ) campus , you'll need to aim for a score of around 90-100 marks in the SRM JEEE exam .

While the exact cutoff may vary depending on the year competition and other factors .  securing a score in this range gives you a good chance .

For a 25% fee reduction : you should check SRM's specific criteria for that scholarship , as they often offer fee reductions for top scorers or under various categories . If you are targeting a fee reduction based on your marks , aiming for a high score ( above 100 ) will increase your chances of qualifying for any available scholarships .

As your current scoring 60/120 in mocks , you should focus on improving your accuracy and speed , aiming for a score of at least 90 in upcoming mocks . This will help you build confidence and improve your chances of securing the ECE branch with the fee reduction .

Hope this information helps you .
