SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Chennai
Greetings dear Sindhu
Firstly, congrats on successful completion of your SRMJEEE Examination. The cut-off trends keeps changing every year and it depends on the number of students attempting the exam, difficulty level, number of available seats, etc. Getting a CSE seat is getting highly tough these days as the demand is very much. But, with a rank around 2000, you can easily secure a CSE or CSE with any specialization in SRM KTR Campus as the closing rank was around 9,500 - 10,500 for CSE core branch in SRMJEEE 2016. If not then you'll always be securing a CSE or any other seat in the other campuses of SRM University. So, just apply to their counselling process and secure a seat easily.

Hi Surya,
Based on your SRMJEEE Rank you might mostly get Non-IT branches or less preferred branches in SRM Campuses. A s per the cut-offs set by the experts and previous year's cut-off trends your rank falls under the range of Ranks for getting Non-IT branch in SRM Main Campus.
So, for IT Branches you can try in other SRM Campuses but chances are less. Cut-offs varies from year to year and depends on many factors like number of students appeared in the exam, number of seats available, category, difficulty level of the exam, etc.
For more information about SRMJEEE Cut-offs go through below link.
May this helps you.
Best of Luck!!
Hello Pratimamomo
Hope you are doing good . With reference to your query , I want to inform you that SRM is much better options in any branch then NMIT bangalore because SRM holds 29th rank in nirf ranking and its Training placement officers in department of ECE is much and much better than ECE srm due to its high alumni network . I would like to add that quality of teaching is also much better. More than 83 percent students got placed every year with an average package of 5lakhs in ECE section and highest went around 15lakhs
Hope you found this answer helpful. Good luck for your future
Hi aspirant,
I guess you are an engineering aspirant from your profile in that case you should definitely prefer Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham over SRM institute of science and technology. Amrita college has built amazing reputation and is one of the top places to study. It is ranked 4th in university rankings and 20th in engineering by NIRF. It has a world class infrastructure with well mentioned labs and libraries. Talking about the placement records, more than 90 percent of the engineering students with an average package of 5.5-6 lacs per annum. There is absolutely no problems in changing your campus selection during the counselling process of SRMJEE. As per the guidelines of SRM institute of science and technology any candidate not satisfied with the seat allotted to them in initial rounds, they can do reapply in subsequent rounds by filling up their desired campus and course selection. However seat allotment in that will be subjected to your performance in SRMJEE.

Look, the seat allotment procedure is simply a game of demands and supply. The chances of you getting core CSE at SRM Ramapuram is descent though it depends upon some factors like-
Suppose there are 10 students who were ranked above you and were not satisfied with their alloted seats then they will get prefered over you during the next round of counselling.
