For a Goa domicile student which is a better option? NIT Goa, colleges under comedk or SRM University?

Shja 1st Jul, 2021
Dear Aspirant,

NIT Goa is quite good so you can definitely go there to study BTECH courses even if you don't have Goa domicile. Condition is that you need to have a very good percentile in JEE Mains. Some of the COMEDK colleges are also very good like RVCE Bangalore, Ramaiah Institute of Technology, BMS College of Engineering etc. You need to have a good score in COMEDK exams as well to grab these colleges. The catch is NIT has a great brand value.
SRM is a good "PRIVATE" college. Also, the college serves many facilities to the students. It's expensive as well.
So, in my personal opinion NIT Goa> lower COMEDK Colleges ( other than top colleges)> SRM.

Hope this Helps!
Good Luck

we missed today srm jee exam today we can able to write tomorrow

Aditya 1st Jul, 2021

Hi aspirant,

No you will be not allowed to participate in the examination next day because slot booking for the same is done in advance. You will get a mail from University regarding this matter, and maybe given a chance to appear for it in third phase.

If you do not get any such mail then fill up the application form for the 3rd phase by paying an amount of 1100.

Hope it helps!!

I am getting CSE in SRM KTR Campus and in VIT CHENNAI Campus. Which one should I go for?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 30th Jun, 2021

All the colleges you have mentioned are well known. Now while considering a college you need to consider some parameters:

  • Curriculum
  • Faculty
  • Placements
  • Infrastructure

Now as per my opinion you should choose VIT chennai because it has better lab infrastructure than SRM KTR. Also the VIT chennai faculties are highly experienced and the majority of the teachers are active in research but in case of SRM the research involvement is less. The placements rate at VIT CHENNAI is quite good (>90%) with average packages of Rs. 7-8 LPA. The most important part is that the curriculum is more well organized in VIT rather than SRM. This is the only reason why you should consider VIT over SRM.

Now as its your career and its the most important,  you should conduct a research by yourself and if you agree with my point of view then only rely on it else take the decision which will be the best for you according to yourself.

srm vs vit vs manipal vs kiit vs amrita vs sastra for b tech cse.give your order.

Aditya 30th Jun, 2021

Hi aspirant,

All the colleges mentioned by you are top notch private colleges known for their engineering programs. In terms of order we will consider various factors like ranking, better return of investments, placement records and the coding culture out there. So so I will prefer to go with following preference order:

  1. Vellore institute of technology ( only at Vellore or Chennai campus)
  2. Amrita college of engineering ( Amritapuri, Coimbatore, Bengaluru campus)
  3. SASTRA College
  4. Manipal institute of technology (Manipal campus)
  5. Kalinga institute of industrial technology
  6. SRM college of sciences and technology ( Ktr campus)

Hope it helps!!

Sharon Rose Student Expert 29th Jun, 2021

Hello,

Yes, you have to apply for SRMJEEE 2021 phase 2 and pay the application fee once again even if you haven't appeared for SRMJEEE Phase 1. The last date to apply for SRMJEEE Phase was June 22, 2021 till 11AM. The registrations are already closed and the exam is scheduled on June 29th, 30th and July 1st. If you have already applied for phase 2 then you can appear for phase but if you haven't applied before the closing date then you do not have any chance to appear for Phase 2.

Aditya 29th Jun, 2021

Hi aspirant,

No no you don't have to pay the application fee for SRM phase 3 in case you did not get any slots due to system failure or unavailability of a slot. You will get an email regarding the same allowing you to choose your preferred slot during the phase 3.

However in case you missed it due to to your negligence, then you have to pay an amount of 1100 to apply for phase 3.
