Yes, you will be alloted seat in the first round if there will be availability of seats in your chosen preferences. And then it will depend on you if you wish to take that alloted seat or you want to participate in round 2 or next round for the upgradation of seat. If you do not want the alloted seat in first round and do not want to participate in next round as well then you can surrender the seat and exit the counselling. For more details, visit here:

The cutoff for SRMJEEE 2021 for different campuses has not been released yet. But on the basis of previous years cutoffs, I can provide you a rough idea of the seats you can get.

As you mentioned that you have secured 9272 rank, so on the basis of records you have decent chances to get CSE, ECE, EI&E , etc at SRM Chennai campus and Moreover, you can get CSE at RMP campus. You can check out the cutoffs of different campuses here:

SRM joint engineering entrance exam is a university level examination at requires a higher rank for tech courses, for CSE a candidate required a rank above 7K for ECE at ltr branch you should hold a rank above 20k.

My suggestion for you is that you have a higher possibility of getting your favoured course as the cutoff differs every year.

SRMJEEE 2021 Phase 2  Round 2 counselling will commence from July 15, 2021. The choice filling window will be available from July 15 to 16, 2021. If you wish to participate in second round of counselling you can fill the choice form on July 15th or 16th and submit it. Second round seat allotment will be released on July 18, 2021 and the admission fee can be paid from July 19 to 22, 2021.

As you have mentioned that you have got 4.1k rank in SRMJEE and you want to take up cse core in SRM. So, let me tell you that you can get cse core or you can also take up artificial intelligence specialisation. That is also one of the most demanding branch in SRM chennai, kattangkulathur.

Coming to your next part of the question, yes it is true that cse core has much demand than the other two branches that is iot and cyber security at SRM chennai.

But you don't need to worry ,you will get a good branch either cse core or artificial intelligence.

As you have mentioned that you have got 21k rank in srmjeee and you want to know whether you can get cse in any of the three campuses or not.

So, let me tell you that in this rank the main campus of srm , kattankulathur will not be available for you as the seats of cse gets filled within a rank of 10k. But in other campuses you will definitely get cse and it's specialisations.

In the main campus, you are also eligible to get the ece branch . Now it depends upon you what you will take. I would recommend you the main campus.

At first congratulations on such a wonderful performance in SRMJEE. You will certainly get a seat in computer science and engineering branch with the mentioned rank. You are also eligible to avail the scholarship provided by the institution to its meritorious students. As per the guidelines of SRM institute of sciences and technology rank holders between 1 to 500 will be provided 100% scholarship on their tuition fee.

Note- The scholarship provided to you will be subjeced to your performance in the the semester exams from second year.
