Hi ! No you can't get a seat in SRM University only with JEE main marks. Infact they take their own entrance exam named srmjee where you need to have a good rank. Then only you can have admission in SRM University. Or else there is no way. And good board marks is required. So hope you understand and best of luck to you.

Yes you just need to fill the form and then you can get admission directly.  Srm Gaziabad is a new campus and hence will take students as they need to build a name I'm that region.

PES is any time a better option than SRM due to the following reasons

1. Autonomous 

2. Best private engineering institute in Karnataka ( for Comp and IT ).

3. Only 6-7 hours college, so you can concentrate on your extra curricular and coaching for higher studies.

4. Higher cut-offs. Pes-U has much higher cut offs than SRM .

5. Faculty. (most of them  being PHD holders)

6. Cultural activities 

7. Interdepartmental fests

8. They have open elective every semester. 

If you are not sure whether you would get admissionin PES based on your marks I would suggest you to call the authorities and enquire about your chances. If money is not an issue then take the seat in SRM (although if you  do get admission in PES SRM will not give you a 100% refund and they would also keep your original certificates. Also, SRM is expensive). If you are confident then you can cancel the seat in SRM but unless you are it is better to have options. All the best.

There is a separate exam for admission at SRM university called SRMJEE.You will get admission in one of the branch based upon your rank. The admission details are given in detail at the website of SRM university. 

Biotechnology is any technological application that uses biological systems, living organisms, or derivatives, to make or alter products or processes for a specific use. It is a multidisciplinary course including Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Genetic Engineering, Recombinant DNA technology, Biochemistry, and Bioinformatics. SRM University Haryana is a good institute for Biotechnology and related fields in India. This is because they provide international exposure to students via their semester aboard program. They provide a good opportunity for students to research from second/third year onwards.
