i f my height is 150cm but ssb interview crack height 152cm how can increase the height of 1 month my age is 22

Purbayan Chatterjee 15th Sep, 2021

Hi Kanchan,

Hope you are fine. Unfortunately, there is very less possibility for you to increase your height by 2cm that too within 1 month since you're already 22. Generally at the age of 22, any individual is most likely to have reached their maximum growth as the growth plates close by this age.

However, there are plenty of ways a person can improve their posture to look taller.

  • Do immense stretching exercises like hanging from bars, swimming, etc.
  • Take daily sprints (fast running up to 75m - 100m)

Hope this helps and wish you the best of luck.

I have 28 teeth but one molar is extracted so doctor have been fixed bridge cap and 6 molars are been filled permanently also one pre - molar is also filled will i get 14 dental points or will i get rejection in ssb medical test ( navy) ? please answer i am tensed

Khushi Goyal 3rd Sep, 2021

Dear Student,

SSB or Services selection board is a Defense organization which selects aspirants for Army, Navy and Air force recruitment include Medical Examination along with Dental check ups in their criteria and examinations along with mental, physical and intellectual evaluation of the aspirant to access the potential of the candidate and decide whether he or she is eligible or not.

If we talk about Dental checkup, the candidate is evaluated for their overall Dental health looking on certain criterias. With defense being a very competitive and physically enduing field, it becomes very important for the aspirant to be fit in all aspects of Physical and Mental health.

Also, it is better to go and get check up done from a Dentist to determine if there are any Dental Caries or Impaction of the Wisdom teeth which need to be addressed and are treated before going for the examination. Make sure that you get complete Oral prophylaxis done before the Dental examination and any missing teeth replaced as they affect the points given.

Points are given only when the opposing teeth are in proper occlusion, if the teeth are not touching each other in posterior teeth or are in cross bite or Open bite in Anterior teeth, the points are not given to those particular teeth.

Teeth which are considered to be important or must have are given 2 points each - Molars

Teeth which are not required for efficient function of the oral cavity are given 1 point for U/L teeth combined incisors, Canines and Premolars.

For the front teeth -

Incisors are given 4 points : 2 points for Left side Central and Lateral Incisors and 2 points for right side Central and Lateral Incisors

Canine are given 2 points: 1 point for U/L Left side Canines, 1 point for U/L Right side canine

Premolars are given 4 points : 2 points for one Right side U/L Pre molars, and 2 points for Left Side U/L Premolars

So you will get 10 points only if you have all the Upper and Lower Incisors, all 4 canines and 8 premolars.

For the Molars, you will get 2 points each for Upper and Lower Molar, So as you have 6 molars (including Third Molars) U/L on each side, you will be getting 12 points for having all the molars. In case you are not having third molars on both sides you will be getting only 8 points.

So the number of points required to clear the Dental examination is 14, if a candidate fails to get 14 points, they are termed as medically unfit for the interview stage.

Happy Learning!

I have already filled the nda form but now I am in class 11th so is there any problem regarding this in future or in ssb please reply

Atul Singh 20th Jul, 2021

Dear Student,

Let me tell you one thing, you can give every NDA exam if you are coming between the age of 16 1/2 to 18 1/2, just fill the 12th appearing option in the application form.

But you will only be eligible for SSB if you are really a 12th appearing or 12th pass student.

As now you are in 11th class and you have filled the exam of NDA written, here you will not face any problem till the written examination but if you will be able to clear the exam then they will call you for SSB and there they will ask your 12th class proof, but at this time you don't have any so yes you will not eligible for the SSB. For SSB you need to be either in class 12 or passed the 12th exam.

Best Of Luck!!!
