I think if you are unlucky enough to get a center where the ID checkers are uptight then they might object to it. Otherwise, they also go through details other than the name - as in Father's name, DOB, etc. So do not worry so much about it

I am sorry but ECE students cannot give SSC JE exam as it is only for students of Mechanical, Civil and Electrical courses under BTech.

You need to have a degree or diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or Institution to be eligible for SSC JEE.
