To give you a gist, the merit list after each round is prepared on the Category you have selected while filling in the application form. There is a statement that says that SBI cannot assume any responsibility of the mistakes in the application form and submission of the application forms after the last date. Now if you select your Category as General during Mains and you qualify under General Category, you will be given a placement under the General Category.

Above all else, all of you have to know fundamental things about ex-servicemen as per the IBPS and SBI department.The Ex-servicemen who might go after the position post:

Ex-Servicemen up-and-comers who previously verified work under the Central government in

Gathering 'C' and 'D' would be allowed for the age unwinding as recommended for Ex-servicemen for verifying another work in a higher evaluation or framework in Group 'C'/'D'.

An ex-serviceman who has once joined a Government work on common side in the wake of profiting of the advantages given to him/her as an ex-serviceman for his/her re-business.

Exam for SBI Clerk is divided into three stages-

Prelims of 1 hour duration with following subjects-

1. English
2. Quant
3. Reasoning

Mains is of 2 hour and 40 min duration with following subject-

1. General/Financial Awareness
2. General English
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. Reasoning Ability and Computer Aptitude

Last one is assessment  of Official/Local Language.

The first and foremost thing required in banking exam is speed and precision.

To follow the first step, you need to practice a lot, solve as many mock papers as you can, along with test series. At the same time time, do not forget to evaluate your performance. This will give you a fair idea about strength and weakness.

The more papers you solve, more grasp you'll have on that subject, this will increase your ability to solve any type of questions that come in exams.

For General Awareness/ Financial Awareness, you have to read a newspaper daily with emphasis on The Editorial part, you can read The Hindu, The Economic Times, The Indian Express. You'll have to well updated with current affairs more so business/finance section regarding this.Newspaper will also help in your English.Do not skip this step at all, as in exams in the recent trends, Editorial parts are coming in either for RC, or some other section.

For ex serviceman there is a relaxation in age limit as well but educational qualification is taken as criteria too. For the ex serviceman of rajasthan the mains lats year cutt off went aroundd 23 marks. As total of 8653 vacancies have been announced this year so cutoff depends on the authorities only.

The cut off varies for different category candidates. The cut off for general category candidates is 60% and above. If you have managed to score this Percentage in the examination then you will definitely be able to qualify in the SBI Prelims round. The cut off for other categories is 50% and above.

For 2016, the cut off marks for Ex Servicemen in SBI PO Exam for different categories for previous years' was:

General - 47.50

OBC - 44.50

SC - 38.75

ST - 29.25

You can get some idea about cutoff this year by looking at previous years' data.

Right now only overall cutoff of sbi mains 2019 are not released on the official sites.

But if we analyse the previous years cutoff marks of sbi mains for ex servicemen then it is 86.25 out of 200 marks.

While, this year the overall sbi mains 2019 cutoff for UP candidates if is expected to be around 80-90.

For more details and exact cutoff we still have to wait for the release of results.
