I have passed my 12th with PCB from state board, i really want to join merchant navy so if i give maths exam from NIOS (on demand exam ) then good companies will sponser me or changing subject will create troubling situation?

Hello student,

It is not possible to give 12th exam twice from the same board when you have already got passing marks. Only the students who fail, are allowed to re appear for 12th exams.

Hey,

This can't be said with complete surety whether state board pattern will change or not as CBSE has changed the pattern.

Both boards work independently and there are different bodies who take decision regarding the board' exam and it's pattern.

Hi Aspirant,

Since NIOS certificates are valid and equivalent to CBSE, ICSE and other State Boards. NIOS board is recognized by Central government and Ministry of HRD for secondary and higher secondary board of education. So there shouldn't be any problem regarding the eligibility and your studies from NIOS.

Im from Andhra Pradesh. I have completed my MPC in 2015 with 90%. Now I wanna take BiPC stream. What should I write to be eligible for NEET. Can I take biology in NIOS (or State board) to be eligible or Should I study whole BiPC for 2 years in state board. Please tell me all options I have.

It depends on your choice, both of them makes you eligible for NEET.

Bipc includes biology, chemistry and physics- which are core subjects for NEET.

While NIOS(National institute of Open schooling) is government approved institution to allow students to study PCB, if they are willing to change subjects or

If you want to write NEET now you will have to write the whole PCB again and secure atleast passing marks to be eligible in the exam. You can apply to the NIOS board for writing your 12th again in the nearest and most feasible time slot
