What is the scope after Bsc. statistics ?? How are the placements at Delhi university for Bsc. statistics (h) ?? and which College is best for it??

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 17th Aug, 2021

hi,

see statistics is  currently a very demanding topics in the field of analytics. companies like market research, analytical organization hires the candidates of statistics background to work as data analyst, predictive analyst , business analytics like position. however you have to do masters degree from reputed institute to get better work opportunity. now coming to delhi university colleges, placement is moderate and work opportunity for core domain is less just after completing your bachelors.

so you have to first enroll for b.sc , then you have to go for m.sc course in statistics.

I got 97% (Eng + best 3) in ISC class 12 board...Can I get admission to DU north campus in BSc (Hons) in Maths or Computer Science or Statistics...

Atul Singh 16th Aug, 2021

Dear Student,

You've got a good score to choose the DU in science stream but not sure you will get north campus because the cutoff marks of North campuses are little bit high. You can only expect north campus if your score was more than 98.5, and there is a high chance that you will get south campus in any of the branch of science you have mentioned.

For more details you can go go to this link to predict the suitable campus of DU for your stream according to your percentage.

bsc statistics from DU or electrical engineering from thappar?

Karam Vir 14th Aug, 2021

Hey,

Analysis, probability theory, statistical methodologies, and database management systems are all covered in a statistics course. A statistician's major goals would be to collect data that is relevant in a variety of sectors in order to generate predictions based on that data. Statistics is a mathematical field that deals with data collecting, analysis, and interpretation. Statistics are used in marketing, psychology, scientific research, economics, sociology, social sciences, public health, and a variety of other professions.

Electrical engineering is concerned with the study of electronic devices and equipment, as well as the application of principles to electricity. They also test and supervise the production of electrical equipment. Electrical engineering is a discipline of science that deals with power electronics and develops reliable and efficient electronic systems.

As you can see, both these courses have different basic fundamentals and work areas. Both the universities mentioned by you are excellent in their terms and courses. So, discover your area of interest. Don't use any course vaguely. Get to know the subjects and know your weakness and strengths and then make a decision. The decision should be solely based on what you want to become and what is your area of interest.

which career option is best genetic engineering Or bsc statistics Or b- pharmacy for me

sangam.nandhini 13th Aug, 2021

Hello Kalyani,

If you are confused on what to choose among B.sc statistics, Genetic engineering and B.Pharmacy I would like to suggest you to go with Genetic engineering. If we compare the future scopes of the courses, B.pharmacy alone cannot provide you with a good career, you also need to do PG after that to get a good position in Pharmacy. B.sc statistics also has limited career options. Coming to the genetic engineering, with the increasing advancements and innovations in life sciences, Genetic engineering provides you to make a career in both public and private sector. So, According to my experience and knowledge I would suggest you to go with Genetic Engineering.

Hope this information helps you.
