arts student Appy neet exams ok

Anurag Khanna 7th Apr, 2022

Hello Aspirant,

No ARTS students are not eligible for NEET UG because

To appear in NEET UG you need to satisfy some eligibility conditions :-

For 10+2 or equivalent :-

>>>>> You need to pass separately in theory as well as in practical of PCB.

>>>>> If you belongs to General/UR category then your aggregate of PCB (Theory + Practical) should be equal to or more than 50%(40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PwD).

>>>>> You should be pass in English subject as well.

And ARTS student do not have their subjects as PCB, so you are not eligible to apply for NEET UG. If you somehow pass the examinations for PCB and English from NIOS then you can appear for NEET UG.

Is CBSE private student allowed for NEET 2022?? They must be allowed becuz they have done a regular 2years of study i.e 11&12th but got crossed in single subject in final Board exm,thn they reappear and passed the exam n when the marksheet come they writes private candidate in place of school name?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Apr, 2022

Hi

Yes, you can appear in NEET examination even if you are a CBSE private candidate ( private Candidate means those who give 12th exam but are not enrolled in any school due to some reasons like have failed in 12th and again appear in the exam to pass it by filling the private candidate form  )

This is because,

The case of eligibility of private candidates for Neet examination is in Supreme Court but until the supreme court gives its judgement, private candidates are  eligible for Neet examination, so one is eligible for neet as a private candidate in 12th provided they must have got:-

  • at least  50  % in aggregate of PCB  i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology  in 12th examination  if belongs to general category

  • at least  40%  in aggregate of PCB if belongs to  Obc/ Sc /st category

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

Also,

******* to be eligible for neet one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December of the year of appearing gor neet.

****** There is no upper age limit for Neet .

****** There's no limit for the maximum number of attempts/times one can appear in NEET.

For detailed information about neet examination eligibility go through our page for which link is provided below; -

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-eligibility-criteria

Now that,

limited time is left for neet 2022 , so you should be focusing on your preparation,

***** practising chapterwise questions

***** then revising the chapters,

***** solve at least previous 10 year neet question papers as concept behind the question often gets repeated in the examination so it will be of great help in your preparation  ,

***** go through neet mock test papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

To help you in cracking neet, we have neet crash course for you, the link for the same is given below :-

i want to ask question about NEET eligibility criteria .... it says that must have passed in PCB and English individually and aggregate 50%... Now my question is that does NEET accepts grace marks in chemistry board exams is a student passes chemistry with grace marks ? is this elligible?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Apr, 2022

Hi

You are eligible with Grace marks for neet examination provided you fulfill rest of the eligibility criteria.

This is because,

It doesn't matter whether you have passed  your chemistry examination with Grace marks or without grace marks, what matters is that you have passed in your chemistry

For your reference,

Here's the eligibility criteria for NEET :-

-------------------) Qualification required :-As per Neet eligibility to be eligible one must be either appearing for 12th board examination  or should have passed 12th board examination from any recognised board with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English as core subject.

†††Important Note :- Students with Biology as an additional subject are also provisionally eligible for neet until Supreme Court gives its judgement over it.

-------------------)  Percentage required :- You must get

  • at least 50 % in aggregate of PCB i.e Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology in 12th examination if belongs to general category

  • at least 40% in aggregate of PCB if belongs to st/Obc/ Sc

  • at least 45 % in aggregate of PCB in case of pwd candidates to be eligible.

So, if you fulfill this criteria then you are definitely eligible even if you have passed with grace marks .

-------------------)  Age limit :-

  • Lower age limit:- to be eligible for neet  one has to be at least 17 years old or more by 31st December in the year of appearing for the examination .

  • Upper age limit :-There's no upper age limit for NEET. Earlier there was upper age limit  of 25 years which was pending in supreme court, on 9th march 2022 NMC in its notice has removed upper age limit. For details about it checkout :- https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-number-of-attempts-and-age-limit

--------------------) There's no attempt limit for neet.

Im sc category student how much I have to score in KCET to get CSE engineering ceat

Sharon Rose Student Expert 16th May, 2022

Hello,

It is quite difficult to indicate the exact cut off to get seat in Computer Science Engineering based on your KCET rank because cut off is institute specific and you haven't specified any institute in which you are interested to seek admission. Analyzing the previous year cut off to have decent chances of getting seat in Computer Science Engineering under SC category you need to secured rank below 20000 and you should aim to score minimum 100-120 marks or above in KCET. Note that this is an estimated score and rank. The actual cut off and the marks vs rank change. Cut off is subjected to change every year depending on total number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of examination and total number of seats available etc. To check the previous year cut off click on the link below
