Im a science student from Mumbai and I secured 87% in my boards. I wanna pursue MBA what should I do?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 7th Aug, 2021

Hello

87 % is a good score in 12th. Actually, you cannot go for MBA right after your 12th.

This is because,

To be eligible for mbs you need to  be at least a graduate as MBA is provided which is a postgraduate course

I am a BSc Chemistry student apeearing for CAT 2021. Is my background considered as eng. or non-eng-engg? Some are saying that its equivalent to engg. since I have science background. Whats the reality in terms of CAT?

Subhrajit Mukherjee 7th Aug, 2021

Nope! You are in the non engineering group. Most of the degrees those are introduced under the engineering group are:

  • BTech/BE
  • MTEch/ME
  • BARCH
  • BPHARM
  • BDES

This are correlated domain of engineering so they are fitted under the group of engineering. But for BA/BSc/BCom/MBBS/BBA its all in the non-engineering group.

suchayitaanusaha 7th Aug, 2021

Hello,

You got one attempt in JEE Mains examination is 77 percentile and another attempt 70 percentile. So your number probably 41 to 50. And your general rank is in between 150000 to 200000. This is quite high rank. And due this rank you can't get any IITs or NITs.

  • NIT Trichy
  • NIT Surat
  • NIT Delhi
