Hello, My All India neet PG rank is around 9000 and OBC category. Can I get a seat in MS Gen Surgery in govt college in Maharashtra and where to expect?

Sree Student Expert 29th Sep, 2021

Hello,

For your NEET PG Rank you have chances of getting MD General Surgery based on previous year's cut-offs. You may get a seat but not surely in Government College, if you won't get government college then try for Top Private Colleges. But cu t-offs changes from year to year and depends on many factors like category of the student, number of seats available, difficulty level of NEET PG exam, number of students appeared in NEET PG exam , etc.

can college offers diploma in homeopathic medical and surgery

Tamaghna Das 19th Sep, 2021

Hi Akshaykum,

There are colleges in India that offer Diploma in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery and the degree is namely DHMS. BHMS, which stands for Bachelor in Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery, is a degree that is directly comparable with and is somewhat superior than the Diploma degree. So it is preferrable to get a Bachelors' degree than a Diploma in the same.

Please find attached, the details of all colleges in India offering a DHMS degree:

My name is Nauris, i had gone through with Flexor tendon surgery of my right hand and cannot write with my right hand for 2month , as i am righty , so what should i do for my NEET exam ? should i fill form under disabled section or can i get helper in exam ?

Anurag Khanna 24th Jul, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

It's quite complicated case because one cannot get benefit of PwD category with a surgery or some treatment and the scribe/helper is only for PwD category so you are not eligible for PwD category and my personal advise to you is you should contact to NTA and make them aware of your issue and also send them your medical reports that you had received from the Hospital, they would be helping you with this issue.

You can contact them through the following details :-

Email : neet@nta.ac.in

Landline No. : 011-40759000

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Is Bachelor of Rural Medicine and Surgery a good course after 12 ?

Aditi More 11th Jul, 2021

Hey,

Medical services in rural India suffers from shortage of doctors. To address this issue, The Union Health Ministry came up with a new solution. Now they will offer a new course called Bachelor of Rural Medicine and Surgery.

The course would be offer in three-and-half-year shorter than normal MBBS course and will not have any specialization. The Medical Council of India is currently working on the syllabus, and the first batch will be recruited next year.

The students will not have to sit for a medical entrance examination, instead they will be selected from primary health centres on the basis of marks obtained in Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as subjects.

Weightage will be given to those who have studied in village schools. The merit list will be drawn from these schools and not from metropolitan cities.

As of now, it is decided that these students will work in primary health centres for the first year so that they have first-hand experience. The second year will be spent in a district hospital and the third year in a tertiary hospital. To begin with, 50 students will be enrolled.

For five years after finishing training, these doctors will practice only in areas which have a population of less than 50,000. "For five years, they will not be eligible for post-graduate courses. After that, they will be at par with other doctors.

So,if you are interested in doing this course then follow your gut and do so.

When there is a cut outside the body, platelet formation occurs. In the case of internal haemorrhage is there also the formation of platelets? How do the internal haemorrhage get repaired..I mean .. can anyone pl elaborate on the process of healing of internal haemorrhage except the surgery option ?

Niranjana 29th Jun, 2021

Hello,

Rest and hydration are usually used to treat small or mild haemorrhages. Typically, a clot forms, which temporarily stops bleeding while the blood artery heals. The extra blood will be absorbed by the surrounding body tissues over time.

Doctors have lately begun to inject extremely large dosages of clotting-stimulating combinations and substances.Internal bleeding patients may receive electrolyte-rich intravenous fluids from their physicians.

Once a person has been stabilised or is no longer in danger of dying, the next step is to find and stop the source of the bleed.

Surgery to repair the blood artery and remove the extra blood may be required depending on the degree of the bleeding.

After the bleeding has stopped, doctors may prescribe preventive medicines.

To decrease the risk of additional damage and bleeding, physical treatment and lifestyle modifications such as stopping smoking or drinking alcohol may be suggested.

Internal bleeding caused by trauma can sometimes cease on its own. Internal bleeding that persists or becomes serious as a result of trauma need surgery to resolve. When internal bleeding is severe, emergency surgery may be performed within minutes after you arrive at the hospital.

Hope you got it

Thank you

I want to participate in surgery so which couse is best bsc cardiac technology or bsc cardio pulmonary transfusion technology ???

Vidya Kasi 29th Aug, 2021

Hi

Sorry for late reply.

BSc cardiac technology and BSc cardio pulmonary transfusion technology both will only allow you to assist the surgeon during an operation if that's what you are asking...like preparing the patient and handling the equipments. Out of this BSc cardio pulmonary transfusion technologist is an important member in an open heart surgery as they handle life support equipments. I don't think they participate in the actual surgery.

Now if you want to become surgeon do a MBBS course then a MD course or else go for MSc in the same field and then Phd.

Hope this helps.
