i got a cut off 81.25 out of 100(MBC) in HSC TAMIL NADU(2020) ,can i get a seat in TNAU(TamilNadu Agricultural University) for food technology ?

sandhiya 21st Jul, 2020
Hello!
Congratulations! You scored brilliant. To get into government agriculturual colleges, cut-off of more than 85 is needed. But for food technology, it will be less. You will easily get private agri colleges. But studying agri in private college is worthless. Choosing government agri colleges is a wise decision. Try applying for government colleges. I wish you will get seat in government college.
Thank you!

sandhiya 21st Jul, 2020
Hello!
Congratulations! You have scored brilliant. For ur cut off, you can get very good colleges, but it depends on the course or stream you select. The first level colleges are
1. Anna university, guindy campus
2. PSG college of tecv, cbe.
3. KCT, cbe.
4. Thiyagaraja engineering college, madurai.
5. Government college of technology, cbe.
6. CIT, cbe.
7. SSN college, kancheepuram.
And some more colleges are there. Getting seat in these colleges are not possible if you choose cse, ece,it, and mech depts. 'Coz these are the best streams among engineering. But you can get in other good colleges. Try applying for the above said colleges too. You have a chance to get these colleges.
Or you can try in sri krishna, cbe. Sure you will get seat in this college.

I am studying in class 12 in Chennai.I am studying in chennai from class 1 to class 12 and parents are working in chennai for the past 10-12 yrs. But we belong to another state ,Do we need to get nativity certificate or domicile certificate for MBBS admission through 85% state quota in TN colleges

Sharon Rose Student Expert 10th Jun, 2020

Hello,

To get seat under 85% state quota in Tamilnadu you must hold the domicile of Tamilnadu and the applicant or their parents must reside in Tamilnadu for 5 years continuously. You need to submit the domicile certificate at the time of counselling to claim state reservations without that you cannot get admission under 85% state quota.

As VITEEE 2020 has been cancelled, My +2 state board PCM cutoff is 159.5 .What will be my expected rank in VIT Chennai?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 18th Jul, 2020

Hello,

We cannot predict your expected rank because VITEEE 2020 is cancelled for the first time and admission in completely based on class 12/JEE Main score. Students from different state boards, CBSE, ICSE will apply for VIT so the highest marks scored in each board has to be normalized and assigned a merit also the cut off and rank depends on number of seats available in each campus, number of candidates applied, normalized score etc. You need to patiently wait until the results are declared to know your rank.

Im finished my HSC with cut off 67.22,I have interest to join in medical Dept Ophthalmologist , how much cut off announced in govt clg in Tamil Nadu for Opthalmology

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 18th Jul, 2020

Opthamology is a specialisation in Medicine. After studying MBBS, you have to appear for entrance examination for a seat in Opthamology. To study MBBS, you need to appear for NEET. NEET is the entrance examination for admission to MBBS,BDS, Ayush and Veterinary courses across India. And to be eligible for NEET, you should have completed your 12th, passed in all subjects and secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. It is 50% for General Category, 45% for PWD and 40% for OBC,SC,ST. Now if you belong to OBC Category, the Category you belong to should be also listed in the Central OBC list. Or else you will be considered as General Category and so you have to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. This 50% is inclusive of the Theory and Practical marks scored in Physics, Chemistry and Biology collectively. You needn't score 50% in Physics, 50% in Chemistry and 50% in Biology separately. You need an aggregate of 50% or 40% depending on your Category as an aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. And along with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, you should also have studied English as one of the core subjects in your 12th. It is not clear whether you have applied for NEET or not. If you have applied for NEET, please visit our page https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-tamil-nadu for previous year cut offs.  Now this is previous years data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 2 more months to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.

I got 78 percentile in JEE January Test and I am a PWD general Candidate can I get any desired course in NIT Trichy and I belong to Tamil Nadu

Rishi Garg 18th Jul, 2020

With this percentile, your All India Rank will be around 2 lakhs. But in PwD category, it might be very very well. Based on the previous years' trends, you have enough chances of getting into NIT Trichy. Being from Tamil Nadu will help you more to get into NIT trichy into your desired course.

Hope it helps.
