I have got 450 in neet 2021 will I get seat in private medical colleges under government quota in Tamil Nadu (I am obc-ncl Tamil Nadu and I am a boy)

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 30th Dec, 2020
You have not mentioned your category so I am assuming you from general category

It's quite difficult to predict that whether you will get seat or not with 450 marks.

But yes,
when we go through previous data then it suggests that with 450 marks you hold low get a seat in a Government quota seat even in a private medical college

For example,

In Neet 2019, 452 marks for general category was the lowest marks to get a government quota seat in private Medical College under Tamilnadu state quota and it was for Sri Muthukumaram Medical College and Hospital

You can check the same at

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-tamil-nadu

Also,
cut off marks for medical colleges keeps changing every year depending upon various factors like number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the examination etc.

So, to get a Government quota seat in a private medical college you should target at least 500 marks in your Neet 2021 examination.

You can prepare well using our neet program for which link is provided below

daniasufian2000 30th Dec, 2020
Hello candidate!
For getting a seat in Ayurveda you should atleast cross a score of 400+ then only the seat is secure in your way regardless of your category.
Since the cut off for this year has been at tremendous height for safe site you should cross the limit of 400 then you have a chances of private Ayurvedic college. If you want to have a good government college then score will be 430+.

what mark should I get in neet to get seat in BDS in government medical colleges Tamil Nadu I am obc-ncl category

Anurag Khanna 30th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

As we go through previous year's cut-off then it shows that last year the cut-off marks has reached upto 440 for Tamil Nadu Government Dental College, Chennai under state quota for OBC-NCL category. Now the above cut-off is for government quota seat but if you want management quota seat then the cut-offs goes around 250-350 marks in NEET 2019 and if we go through the latest cut-offs variation which are not finalized yet, so this year the cut-offs have been increased for all institutions by around 50-60 marks so if you want any government dental college in Tamil Nadu under state quota then you should have at least 325-380 marks in NEET 2021 for management quota seat and for government quota seat the minimum threshold should be 450-480 specially for OBC-NCL category.

You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the link given below :-

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-tamil-nadu

Note that the above prediction is made on the basis of previous year's cut-off and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your marks, category, and state you can use NEET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-

there is any chance for reopening tamil nadu state counseling registration

Shruti Smaranika 18th Nov, 2020

Hello aspirant,

Yes, already from 3rd November, registrations for Tamil Nadu NEET counselling has started for the first round for both government and management quota seats. You need to visit the official website for that.

To fill up in government quota or in management/NRI quota, you have to first register for the counselling and then login. Then you will fill up your personal information and special reservation information. The next step is payment details and then fill up school of study information, then academic information, then fill up additional information, then give your photo and upload your signature. Finally check the application whether you have done correctly or not and then click the submit option. Take out the print out and payment slip for future reference.

Make sure you are a citizen of India. OCI candidates can go for counselling, but will considered as general candidates and for them, there is no special reservation. You must have qualified NEET 2020 and a Tamil Nadu native. You must produce study certificates from class 6th to 12th and must show your birth certificate, caste certificate, ration card, class 10th and 12th certificate along with marksheets and school leaving certificate.

Hope, it helps you.

iam a keralite obc muslim.my management quota rank of tamil nadu is 744.which all private college will i get there?

anirudha vats 18th Nov, 2020

Hey,

To provide you with accurate results I need your All India rank or marks whichever possible in order to predict your chances of selection in any college. As you have not mentioned it, so it seems pretty difficult to suggest you with some results. The counseling is done mostly on the basis of All India Rank.

Although you can use our NEET college rank predictor to predict your chances of colleges you can get at this marks. The link is given below,

Hope that helps.. Thank you.

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 16th Nov, 2020

At the time of posting this question, the provisional merit list was not released. This is the pdf of provisional merit list of Tamilnadu State Counselling Candidates: https://tnhealth.tn.gov.in/online_notification/notification/N20112591.pdf . Please do check if your name is in here. If not, it is important to know whether you have selected Tamilnadu as the State of Eligibility at the time of filling the NEET application form. If yes, then your name should be here. If you did not select Tamilnadu, then your name might be missing. Again this list is for those Candidates who have studied in Government Schools of Tamilnadu and are eligible for 7.5 reservation. Please help us understanding if you fall under this Category.
