I am a resident of West Bengal, but completed 7th to 12th from Tamil Nadu. What will be the state of eligibility for NEET 2025?

kumardurgesh1802 26th Feb, 2025

Hello Avilasha,

Your State of Eligibility for NEET 2025 depends on the state where you completed your 10+2 (Class 12) and your domicile :

  1. West Bengal – If you have a domicile certificate of WB, you can apply under the state quota of West Bengal.

  2. Tamil Nadu – Since you studied 7th to 12th in Tamil Nadu, you are also eligible for the state quota in Tamil Nadu, even without a domicile.

    Best Option:

You can choose either WB or TN for the 85% state quota seats , depending on which has better chances based on your NEET score and category.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

B Tech Aerospance Engineering - Amrita or SASTRA which one is the best in Tamil Nadu interms of infrastructure, Faculty, Internship, Curriculum. Pls suggest

Prachi Kumari 25th Feb, 2025

Hello,

When comparing the B.Tech Aerospace Engineering programs at Amrita School of Engineering, Coimbatore , and SASTRA University, Thanjavur , consider the following aspects:

Infrastructure:

  • Amrita: Offers modern facilities with well-equipped laboratories and research centers.
  • SASTRA: Provides above-average infrastructure, including specialized labs like subsonic wind tunnels. However, hostel facilities have received mixed reviews.

Faculty:

  • Amrita: Emphasizes a strong faculty team with a focus on research and global academic collaborations.
  • SASTRA: Features experienced faculty members, though specific details about their qualifications are limited.

Internships:

  • Amrita: Encourages internships and provides support through industry connections, enhancing practical exposure.
  • SASTRA: While offering internship opportunities, placements in core aerospace sectors are limited; students often explore roles in IT and software fields.

Curriculum:

  • Amrita: The curriculum is designed to cover essential aerospace topics, integrating modern tools and research opportunities.
  • SASTRA: Offers a comprehensive curriculum with a focus on aeronautics, though some students feel it could be more aerospace-oriented.

In summary, Amrita School of Engineering stands out for its robust infrastructure, research-oriented faculty, and industry-aligned curriculum, making it a preferable choice for aspiring aerospace engineers in Tamil Nadu.

Hope you find it useful !

i got 94 percentile, i did my Xi and XII std in Karnataka . but i am from tamil nadu. i dodnt which is my home state quota . is it karnataka or Tamil nadu. And whether i will get seat in NIT. Which department i will get

Poral Siddartha (siddu) 15th Feb, 2025

Your home state quota depends on your domicile certificate and state of permanent residence (usually Tamil Nadu if you have a domicile there). However, if you have studied XI and XII in Karnataka, you may also be eligible for state quota in Karnataka, depending on specific rules.

For NIT admissions, if Tamil Nadu is your home state, you will have home quota in NIT Trichy; otherwise, you will be considered under the other state quota.

With 94 percentile in JEE Mains, your chances of getting a seat in NITs depend on category and cutoff trends. You may get branches like Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering in lower NITs under other state quota.
