Both are equal in terms of academics and placements. They have a decent number of companies visiting the campus providing an average package of 4 lakhs per annum in both the colleges. But if you are planning to pursue MBA in finance or marketing then only these colleges will be profitable as the demand for marketing managers are usually very high and companies prefer to pick students for a sales profile from these kind of colleges. 

Same is the case with University of Madras. Companies like TCS, ICICI, Axis Bank visit the campus and offer an average of 4-5 lakhs per annum with preference for marketing people. 

So you can choose any of them, based on your vicinity from home or convenience also.

On successful receiving of TANCET 2019 MBA/MCA Counselling application form along with all the corresponding documents by Anna University. Candidates’ Counselling call letter will be released. Counselling call letter authorizes the candidates’ candidature during the counselling. The student needs to carry the call letter for counselling.

PSG college of Technology and PSG Institute of Management are two different colleges and they take admissions separately for their MBA courses from TANCET scores. Both are located in Coimbatore but are separate entities and their cutoffs are also very different 

The TANCET cutoff for University Departments of Anna University for SC category students is somewhere near 51. So it would be a little difficult for you to get into the college. But you can definitely look out for other colleges you can get with your rank like 

• St. Joseph's college of Engineering 
• Easwari Engineering college 
• RMK Engineering college 
• Sona School of Management 
• PSG Institute of Management 
• Galaxy Institute of Management and other private colleges.

With your scores you can get PSG Institute of management but it may be a little difficult to get Thiagarajar School of management because their cut off is approximately 36. But you can check out other colleges also that you may get with your rank

dear Yuvarraj, No need to worry your score is not very and at this score, you have good chances that you et some good Instituted and now take about PSG Instituted Yes, they also have some good chance that you may get these colleges and So my suggestion is you definitely try to PSG maybe you get this Instituted.

As per pervious year cutoff for university of madras is 51 marks for bc category and 54marks for oc category ,and sc st it is around 35 -40 marks

Your chances are little low based on previous trends ,but  cutoff may change this year

Yes it is okay if you have taken DD in favour of "The Secretary, TN MBA Admisiion -2019.For the purpose of TANCET Counselling Candidates should enclose an Original Demand Draft for Rs.300 drawn in favour of "The Secretary, TN MBA / MCA Admissions - 2019, GCT" payable at Coimbatore. Applications received without the Registration fee will be summarily rejected. Rs.150 for SC / SCA / ST Candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu (Self-attested Xerox copy of Community Certificate should be enclosed). Demand Draft can be drawn from any Indian Nationalised bank.

If you fall in SC category then you have good chances of getting into PSG Institute of Management becuse their TANCET cutoff for MBA for SC category students lies below 30. So you have high chances of getting it.

If you fall in general category then the cut off score required for University Departments of Anna University is somewhere near 64 and that of PSG Institute of Management and PSG college of Technology is respectively 35 and 61.

But if you fall in reserved category then for Anna University it ranges from 58 to 40 and for PSG College of Technology it ranges from 56 to 35. But for PSG Institute of Management it's very low i.e. around 30.
