Is application date for TISS entrance exam for academic year 2020-2021 is closed?
You haven't mentioned whether you are enquiring about Undergraduate or Post graduate exams. Nevertless, the last date for filling the application for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate has been extended until April 30th. So if you haven't filled in the application form yet, you can apply by visiting their official website: https://admissions.tiss.edu/
Am i eligible for the TISS because i got 45/50/35 in 10th/12th/ Grad respectively, And anyone can suggest me for which specialation should i go ???
Sonu, admission to Master's courses in Tata Institute of Social Sciences occurs through TISSNET. Now, you can apply for TISSNET if you fulfill the conditions required as stipulated by the institution. These conditions are known as eligibility criteria. Now, the eligibility criteria for applying for TISSNET in terms of educational qualification in most cases ie for admission to most courses is that the candidate should be graduate in any stream or discipline or he/she must be appearing in their final graduation paper and have to submit their passing certificate by any date stipulated. As far as you are graduate, you can apply for most cases, however, for some courses like MA (Organisation Development, Change and Leadership), Master of Public Health (Social Epidemiology), M.A. Social Work in (Disability Studies and Action) etc , the requirement is that graduation should be from a certain stream or subject or there should be some job or internship experience for the candidates. For mire information about these eligibility criteria, you can use the link

As regards to query about choice of specialization, the choice should be such that should generate interest and entertain you. It totally depends on your interest areas, however, there are some courses or specialization which are quite popular among the student groups and some of them are M.A. in (Human Resources Management and Labour Relations) , MBA, Master's of Arts etc. So, the specialization should be such that the student feels comfortable in it and is usually chosen by applicantd in the stream as graduation.
I am applying to TISS. I am in my 6th (final) semester now. I have an ATKT from semester 4. I have taken the supplementary examination. However, the results of that supplementary examination have not come out yet. Am I eligible to sit for TISSNET? Do advise, kindly. Thank you.
You appear for TISSNET without clearing your semester 4 papers. The eligibility criteria says that at the time of applying candidates studying in 3 year degree programs should have passed in all the subjects for the 1st to 4th semester.
I hope this helps.
I am an engineering graduate from AKTU Lucknow but I have a backlog in my seventh semester for which exam will held on 20/12/2019, Am I eligible for TISSNET Exam ?
National Entrance Test(TISS-NET) is computer based test and it is going to be held on 4-01-2020 and the duration of the test is 1:40 mins.I am afraid that you are not eligible with an active backlog for this test.Actually you quoted that your supplementary exam was on 20-12-2019 and I am sure that your results of that exam will not be announced anytime soon .So, there is no chance for you to write the TISS-NET exam.I wish you a better luck next time and make sure that while you are writing the test again in the next year, do not maintain an active backlog.
How to get admission in TISS for LLM programme?
Hi Madhurima,
Thanks for A2A.
Inorder to get admission into any program in TISS, you need to apply with you CAT score and write the TISSNET exam. The exa is very much similar to CAT and is hosted in around January. You need to have a minimum Bachelor's degree to be eligible to apply. Even students in final year of graduation can also apply for this.
You can find more about TISSNET here: https://www.careers360.com/exams/tissnet
All the best
hi... I had completed my post graduation. still want to do HR in tiss, my date of birth is 15-06-1981,am I eligible to apply tissnet??
Dear Satya, For being eligible for TISSNET, Candidates must obtain a ‘Pass Class’ in the Bachelor's Degree in any discipline to become eligible to fill the TISSNET MBA application form 2019. Candidates should obtain a three year’s Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (10+2+3 or 10+2+4 or 10+2+2+1 year bridge course pattern or any other study-pattern fulfilling the requirements of 15 years of formal education) across disciplines from any recognised college/university. Apart from the general TISSNET MBA eligibility criteria 2019, there are certain specific eligibility parameters fixed for particular subjects/programmes. For the Postgraduate degree (M.A.) in Human Resources Management and Labour Relations (HRM) requires candidates to satisfy both General eligibility and a Graduation degree in any discipline. The eligibility talks about the minimum qualification needed and you have it. So you are eligible to attempt NEET. And the website doesnt mention anything about age. I would suggest you to contact them at their helpline 022- 25525252.
