I am A Nepali student, so do i need to give this exam for admission?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 30th Nov, 2019

Candidates who do not reside in India including OCI, PIO card holders and NRIs fall under International students. For such students, the eligibility criteria for TISSNET is that they should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% in their 10+2 and 50% in their Graduation or highest qualification. For more information, please visit our page at: https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/tissnet-mba-eligibility-criteria . But to just answer your question, you will have to appear for TISSNET even if you are from Nepal.

I am SC candidate. What if i upload income certificate that is two years old?

Abinash Panigrahi 30th Nov, 2019

Hello Amit ,

I'd like to inform you that you are not going to get in any sort of trouble for doing that. If you were a general category student, you would have to go through a lot of troubles for that. As per the demonstration; all the availabilities a economically back general candidate avails; a SC reserved student can avail them irrespective of their parental income. So, your income certificate will go unchecked into the verification; but, during the verification you must provide a recent income certificate.

Hope this answer helps. All the best!

For TISSNET if my OBC NC. reservation certificate gets rejected, will I be considered as a general category candidate or will my application be rejected?

Saurabh Kumar 25th Nov, 2019

If you're not having proper OBC-NC certificate then make sure if you can provide proper certificate to the college at the time of admission, or you must put a mail regarding it to the college before the examination for- considering yourself general candidate if any problem arises in the future.

Hi, I have completed my graduation but I have not received my degree yet..will there be an issue because of this while filling the tissnet form? And what all other documents are need to be uploaded while filling up the form? I am from general category.

rajaman9300 Student Expert 19th Oct, 2019

Hello Ashi

I think almost all the form filling procedure requires any one proof of your eligibility, either it is GATE or TISSNET,

As you have mentioned that your degree has not arrived yet so in that case you can upload your penultimate semester mark sheet or course completion certificate.

But at the time of counselling you must have all the details with you.

what happens if a nc-obc candidate clears the cutoff and if by any chance during interview the nc-obc certificate has a minute discrepancy, will he be considered for general category (provided he clears the cut off for a general candidate)?

rehan18alam Student Expert 14th Oct, 2019

Dear Aspirant,

You have not specified your situation completely. However, according to the information you provided, the minor problems will be like there is something which is non readable, etc. If such type of problem arises and that too after the completion of process, then the authorities might give you some time to produce a new document without any such problem.

While on the other hand if the problem os of bigger nature like it is the central OBC certificate that is required and you have the state's certificate, or the certificate is expired a long time ago, then this might lead to no reservation and you'll be evaluated as a general category student.

Hope this helps. Thank you.
