Question : Select the correct passive form of the given sentence. Harsh has applied for leave.
Option 1: Leave was applied by Harsh.
Option 2: Leave is applied for by Harsh.
Option 3: Leave has been applied for by Harsh.
Option 4: Leave had been applied by Harsh
Correct Answer: Leave has been applied for by Harsh.
Solution : The correct choice is the third option.
Passive voice is the voice in which the object experiences an action rather than the person who performs the action. Hence, the object in the active sentence becomes the subject in the passive voice.
The structure of the passive voice in the case of the present perfect tense is: "Singular object + has + been + past participle form of the main verb + prepositional phrase."
Therefore, the passive form is: "Leave has been applied for by Harsh."
Hello,
You still have time left for the examination. It is not necessary that you won't be able to score well. Better late than never! Yes, it's quite late since it's just one month left for class 12th board but I recommend you to stop overstressing and start making your day and night one! Start studying as much as you can. Wakeup early to study or study late night if you can. You can watch one shot videos of each chapter to understand the concepts on youtube. Give 12th this time with all your efforts and if you still don't score well, there is always an option to take a drop. It's not a bad option but definitely not preferable. Focus on giving exams this time!
I hope this helps,
All the best!
