hi i got 20k in ts eamcet in 2025 and im from sc category do i get btech cse in jntu kukatpally or do i get cse btech mtech dual degree???? and which is best

gopi 14th Jun, 2025

Hello Vamsi Krishna,

With a TS EAMCET rank of 20,000 in SC category, the chances of getting B.Tech CSE (either regular or dual degree) in JNTU Hyderabad (Kukatpally) is moderate to good depending on the cut-off trend and other reservation quota. In any case, if you don't get the regular B.Tech CSE, there is good chance that you will get the B.Tech + M.Tech Integrated Dual Degree (IDP) in CSE.

When it comes to better option:

  • Regular B.Tech CSE: More options to either go into higher studies (MBA, MS abroad, even M.Tech) after and have the opportunity to get higher qualification. You can also go out to get a job too.
  • Dual Degree CSE ( B.Tech + M.Tech): saves a year but limits you to only M.Tech at JNTU., no flexibility to change.

If your goal is to work after completing your 4 years of studies or looking to go to higher studies abroad, then the best option is a regular B.Tech CSE as the possibilities are open to you. However, if you are sure, intend to pursue the M.Tech, and want to maintain that continuity, then dual degree is the better option.

Is kendriya vidyalaya considered as a government junior college,to get full fee reimbursement under TS EAMCET (I meet income criteria and belong to BC caste and got rank of 13k)

Shubham Jha 13th Jun, 2025

Dear student,

Yes, Kendriya Vidyalaya (KV) is considered a government institution under the central government, managed by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (Ministry of Education). Since KVs offer education up to 12th standard and are recognized by CBSE as well as accepted by state authorities, completing your 10+2 from a KV is valid for fee reimbursement under TS EAMCET , provided you also meet the income criteria and belong to an eligible category (like BC, SC, or ST).

So, if you studied in KV, belong to the BC category, meet the income limit, and have a TS EAMCET rank around 13,000, you should be eligible for full fee reimbursement .

Hi Aspirant,

With a rank of 43000 in TS EAMCET being in EWS category you might have a chance to get a seat in one of these Government Engineering Colleges in branches like Civil, EEE :

• JNTUH college of Engineering , Hyderabad (Govt) : Civil closing rank is 63,885

Is kendriya vidyalaya is considered as government school to get full fee reimbursement in TS EAMCET under government school category

Swati 12th Jun, 2025

Dear Aspirant

To understand whether a student from Kendriya Vidyalaya is eligible for full fee reimbursement through TS EAMCET in Telangana, it is important to first know how the government classifies schools for the purpose of scholarships and reimbursements under the state education policy. Fee reimbursement is a benefit offered to eligible students pursuing professional courses like engineering and pharmacy through TS EAMCET, subject to fulfilling certain criteria laid down by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education and welfare departments.

Kendriya Vidyalaya is a system of central government schools established and run by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan under the Ministry of Education, Government of India. These schools are fully owned and operated by the central government and are not private institutions. They primarily cater to the children of central government employees but also admit other students as per available seats.

In Telangana, for a student to be eligible for full tuition fee reimbursement through TS EAMCET, the student must meet the following conditions:

  • The student must have completed intermediate or equivalent education from a government or government-aided institution

  • The student’s parental annual income must be below the limit specified by the state government (usually around two lakh for most categories)

  • The student must be a resident of Telangana and possess a valid domicile certificate

  • The student must have secured a seat in a college through the TS EAMCET counselling process

  • The student must belong to an eligible category which includes SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, or disabled groups

Since Kendriya Vidyalayas are recognized as central government institutions and are publicly funded, they are considered under the “government school” category. Therefore, students who have studied in Kendriya Vidyalayas are treated as government school students when applying for fee reimbursement under Telangana’s schemes.

This means a student who completed their intermediate education in a Kendriya Vidyalaya located in Telangana and satisfies all other requirements such as income criteria and category status can receive full tuition fee reimbursement if they gain admission into an eligible TS EAMCET engineering or pharmacy college.

The process of applying for fee reimbursement involves:

  • Participating in TS EAMCET counselling and confirming admission in an approved college

  • Submitting necessary documents such as income certificate, caste certificate, intermediate marks memo, residence certificate, and study certificate from Kendriya Vidyalaya during the verification process

  • Applying through the Telangana ePass portal or relevant platform for fee reimbursement with correct details and uploading all required documents

If any discrepancies are found, such as the absence of proof that the student studied in a government or government-aided school, the application may be rejected. Hence, it is crucial to obtain a study certificate from Kendriya Vidyalaya clearly indicating the years of study and confirming the school’s affiliation with the central government.

It is also advised to consult with the college or the helpline provided during TS EAMCET counselling to ensure all documentation aligns with the latest norms. Students should keep photocopies of all documents and receipts submitted for future reference or audit.

Conclusion
Yes, Kendriya Vidyalaya is considered a government school for the purpose of TS EAMCET full fee reimbursement. If you meet all other eligibility criteria like income limit, residential status, and category requirement, you will be eligible for the full fee benefit even if you studied in a Kendriya Vidyalaya.

I have 2018 caste certificate I am BC-A boy will it valid for TS EAMCET counseling 2025?? Please answer fast.

Niharika Patibandla 2nd Jun, 2025

Hey there! For TS EAMCET counseling, the caste certificate must be issued by a competent authority. While the exact validity time period isn't always specified, it's recommended to have the latest certificate to ensure smooth  verification. An older certificate from 2018 might not reflect any recent changes  or updates in your category status. here's what u can do;

  • Start the renewal process early to avoid last-minute process
  • Keep a set of photocopies and digital scans if all your documents for backup.

If you need guidance on how to apply for a new caste certificate feel free to ask! All the best!
