Hi, for claiming linguistic minority (telugu) seat for MBBS in Karnataka, is the study certificte issued by CBSE school enough? or attestation by block education officer also required?

Afifa 15th Oct, 2020

Hello aspirant

If you belong to linguistic minority group, there is about 55% seat reservation for this respective linguistic and religious candidates based on their merit list.

The documents needed are Muslim Religious / Telugu Linguistic caste certificates issued by the competent authority and also the mother tongue certificate issued by the Head of the i nstitution where the candidate has studied 10th standard.

hope this information is clear

thanks

i hv secured 422 marks in neet 2020.i have telugu minority too and i belong to karnataka.will those marks be enough to get into vydehi medical college?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 9th Oct, 2020

In 2019, under State Quota, 384 marks secured a seat in Vydehi Medical College under General Category. So with a score of 422, you do have decent chances for a Government Quota seat in this College with Minority Reservation. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Rashmita Paul 9th Oct, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

In Vydehi Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Bangalore, there are total 250 seats for MBBS. So it is quite difficult for you to get a seat in this college. As your NEET score is 350. Your Overall Percentile is: 85.26 - 85.76 and when it comes to rank, your Predicted Rank is:204334 - 244484  . Also depends upon last years cut-off.

i am an english medium student and i opted telugu [medium of question paper] by mistake for "Neet". Do i face any prbm during the time of exam or counselling

Sharon Rose Student Expert 28th Aug, 2020

Hello,

Even though you have opted regional language you can see questions both in Telugu and English. You do not have to worry, you can read the questions in English and answer. The options given will be same in both languages. Also you will not face any problems during the counselling. The language you have opted has nothing to do with the counselling.

In neet exam if choose telugu medium what languages will i get during exam.?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2020

Eswar, when you choose any other Language except English as the language of question paper, you will be given the Question paper in that language and also in English. For example, in your case, if you have chosen Telugu as the language of the Exam Paper in NEET, you will be asked questions in both Telugu and English.

I have choosed telugu medium in application form which languages will be given in question paper? and also is there any problem on choosing other than english medium even though I am studying in english medium for further studies?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 26th Aug, 2020

Eswar, when you choose any other Language except English as the language of question paper, you will be given the Question paper in that language and also in English. For example, in your case, if you have chosen Telugu as the language of the Exam Paper in NEET, you will be asked questions in both Telugu and English. Your chances of seat in NEET Counselling depend purely on your NEET score, NEET rank and Category. Your language of exam paper has got nothing to do with this. But in the future to prepare yourself for Medical College, you might have to learn English because the subjects are taught in English and they cannot be translated or taught in Telugu. You can learn English online through Youtube or from Spoken English Books.

we are expecting a NEET20 score of 455, we belong to TELUGU LINGUISTIC MINORITY, do we have any chances of getting an MBBS seat in Karnataka for 2020

Swetha N 2nd Oct, 2020

Hello Sir!

According to last year data, your all india rank for 455 marks would be around 80k. When we look into last year cut off for various medical colleges in karnataka, you have chances to get a A-cat medical seat . But the thing is the cut off keeps changing every year based on various factors like top marks, toughness of the paper, no.of students appeared for the exam etc. You can check more details regarding this through the below link
