Hi Saurav!

As you mentioned you want admission in B.Tech, so the most popular streams of B.Tech are computer science engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics and communication engineering, aerospace engineering, petroleum engineering, civil engineering, chemical engineering and many more. Each of these streams focus on a particular field. The most demanding ones now a days are computer science engg., EEE and  ECE. As these fields have a good scope in future. If you are interested in softwares, applications or programming languages then join CSE, if you re interested in semiconductors or electricity related subjects then join EEE or ECE. anybody who know please answer. i have appeared in 10th board in the year 2019. And i am repeating my class 11 two times and giving 12th board in the year 2023, is i am eligible for jee 2023 or not.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Mar, 2021

Hi

First of all you don't need to worry at all even if you repeat your class 11 and take two years to complete it , what matters is the year of appearing for class 12th board examination.

Now,

If you appear for 12th board examination in 2023 then yes you will be eligible for JEE main 2023 .

This is because,

One can give JEE Mains entrance examination for a maximum of 3 consecutive years starting from the year of appearing 12th board examination.

Now,

JEE Main entrance examination is conducted 4 times a year i.e

*February session

* March session

*April session.

* May session

Out of these 4 attempts in a year, the one in which you get the best score is considered for admission process.

So,  the maximum number of attempts for jee mains entrance examination

= 4 times *3 years

=  12 attempts in total

So, one has a total of 12 attempts over 3 consecutive years  starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination.

In your case, your 12th appearing year will be 2023

then you will be eligible for :-

  • all the four sessions of JEE mains 2023

  • all the four sessions of JEE main 2024

  • and all the four sessions of jee main 2025

You can get the detailed JEE main eligibility criteria at

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-eligibility-criteria

If I tell you about jee advanced then,

One is eligible for JEE advanced examination for a maximum of two consecutive years starting from the year of appearing for 12th board examination.

So, with 12th appearing year 2023 , you will be eligible for JEE advanced 2023 and jee advanced 2024 only

You can check detailed eligibility criteria of JEE advanced by visiting our page the link for the same page is provided below

I asked so many times that my marks in jee mains March 2021(18th morning) is around 70. Everyone here gave me a hope that my percentile can be greater than 84 or 85. Now when the results are declared I have scored 68.9866 percentile. I have made one conclusion never ever trust any predictors (╥﹏╥).

vibinoff 25th Mar, 2021

Hi Buddy,

I am also shocked due to change in trend of Percentile vs marks. But it's due to the reason that most of the students have high marks than usual in that particular session. Since % of students who scored equal to or less than your marks have been decreased in that particular session (than previous trends).

All predictors will come with disclaimers that their prediction is subjected to changes. Trends are again changing this year i guess. We can't bet on predictors 100% but they are useful to plan for a career ahead.

Thank you!
