Firstly know one thing , the debate topics given for ECA trials are not  much hard. So , if you are updated with the current and/or general issues happening in and around the world,  then it will be easier for you . But if you are not updated with it , then be updated for main  topics like feminism , gay marriage , girl child , abortion etc . 

And if you have any contact , then get to know the previous year topics. This can help you a lot.

While debating , use some common suitable phrases which should be on your tips. This leaves a good impression.
