Which is best to take degree + IAS in Sarat Chandra IAS academy or degree in Delhi University..my target is civils

Ishi ag 3rd Jun, 2019

In my opinion, degree + IAS in Sarat Chandra IAS Academy is a better choice. Although the University of Delhi is excellent for graduation and many people in the country wish for it, but if you are targeting civil services, the former is better as many of my friends who studied from du are attending coaching for civil services after graduating. So, a training for ias along with degree is slightly a better choice.

My 12th group is MPC.And Im interested in ba(H) economics. Can I get seat in Delhi University

Ranveer Yadav 3rd Jun, 2019

Hello Akshay,

Yes you can get a seat in Delhi University and if you have a good percentage than you can even opt for a better college like SRCC also. As there are plenty of colleges who offer B.A. (Hons) Economics and the admission to this course is totally merit based. So If you want to enroll yourself for this course in University of Delhi you should have a good percentage in your hand and Since you are going to change your stream therefore you will have to face the deduction in the percentage also and it is totally dependent on the college because every college has its own rules and regulations.

I hope I was able to clear your query and if you want you can ask me anything regarding this topic in the comment section.

I wish you lots of luck and hope you do well in future.

How much deduction in percentage in Delhi University on change stream

Ranveer Yadav 3rd Jun, 2019

Hello Akash,

The deductions in the percentage happens when you change your stream for example if you are from science and you want to get admission in commerce stream in the graduation. The deduction is totally dependent on which college you choose but the average varies from 2.5% to 5%.

If you can tell me the colleges in which you are interested than I can tell you the exact figure. But there is a alternate option also and i.e. you can visit the official website and download the notification. The link for offical website is- www.du.ac.in

I hope I was able to answer your query and hope you do well in future.

I got 89% in 12 class. What chances to get admission in Delhi University in bsc chemistry? I belong to general category and pcm student.

Ranveer Yadav 3rd Jun, 2019

Hello Pooja,

Yes you can get admission in University of Delhi because you have a good percentage. If you are unable to get through the cut-offs of north campus you have a door opened by the name of South Campus which has its very good list of colleges. And as you are a girl you can even go to girl oriented colleges like Jesus And Merry College(JMC) OR Gargi College.

I hope I was able to clear your query and hope you do well in future.

i got 92.2% marks in 12th boards. will i get admission in delhi university ? i am from general category

Nivesh Pai 2nd Jun, 2019
Hello Simran,
To get admission in Delhi University you need a percentage of greater than 94% upto 98% range. Since you have scored 92.2% there maybe possibilty if you have caste category quota or have national academic or sports certificates. You can alternatively try writing the entrance exam conducted by DU even year. If nothing is applied you can try though management or vacany quota.

I want to doDistance learning course , which college is better , Delhi University or IGNOU

Vidhi 2nd Jun, 2019
Hi!

Both universities are good for distance learning as both IGNOU and DU are reputed Indian universities.

In my opinion, I would say that you should choose IGNOU as it has following features:

1. IGNOU study centres are located all over the country.
2. IGNOU is a well-known university across Asia. DU is a reputed university too but mainly for its regular courses and certain colleges.
3. The fees is low and courses are affordable.
4. Both IGNOU has variety of courses at all levels.
5. The standard of evaluation is higher in IGNOU. Although it is easier to score well in DU SOL, but once you're a part of DU you'll know the level of the examination and evaluation.
6. The study centres are easy to locate and you need not be a resident of Delhi to study.

Hope it helps!
