I got 83.25% in isc board in pcm stream. Can i get admission in delhi university.

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
Yes you can. Can you please specify which reservation category you belong to?

Also, by ISC, I am assuming you mean 'Indian School Certificate Examinations' board.

So yes you are eligible for the Science courses available at Delhi University. However with your score, if you belong to General category, you will miss out on a lot of good courses and colleges since the cutoff for Gen category goes very high.

However, you will get courses like Physical Sciences and Botany by the 4th-5th cut offs.

Good luck!

May I know the cureent cutoff difference between unreserved category and ews in du or any college to have ba eco hons or ba pol sci hons

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
Yes, definitely.

Firstly, the difference between standard general and ews general is the difference in the annual income.

People/candidates belonging to only general category and having an annual income of less than 8 lakhs per year qualify for this reservation.

Keep in mind that they cannot belong to any other reserved category such as OBC, SC, etc.

Now, since ews candidates are from the parent category of General caste itself, there is not going to be much difference in the cut offs. For example, in JEE exam, the cutoff was 85 percentile for General candidates while it was 81 percentile for ews candidates. Keeping the same in mind, the cutoffs for DU also won't have massive difference and the difference should only be around 5-6 percentage points at most, which is an advantage for many.

With regards to Eco and Pol SC., the cutoffs haven't been released yet and only time will tell.

Good luck!

I score 92.4 pc in 12th science and score 93 in physics. Can I get admission for physics honors and hostel seat at Delhi university?

Sumit Kumar Bhui 29th May, 2019

Before going for Delhi University, check DU website for cut off for physics honours as last year cut off was 98pc. Subject marks is also required but the cut-off was set for an overall score of your class 12.

You can try for other university or colleges , for each and every one you have to visit their website and have to check the cut off marks

Can education and anthropology calculated in best of four marks in Delhi University?

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
No, according to last year, both of these courses cannot be used in the calculation for your best of 4 score.

But are you referring to 'Physical Education' when you write 'education' ? If yes, then PE can be included as it is a part of the List A issued by DU, which contains the subjects that can be included in your best of 4 score.

However, DU is yet to release it's list-A. The answer I wrote is based on last year's list A.

Do check out the link below for more.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/university.careers360.com/articles/delhi-university-admissions-how-calculate-best-of-four-marks/amp

It also contains the List A, along with the procedure of calculation.

College for bms hr or mithibai

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
Both are equally good.

Both have been embroiled in this race, along with Jai Hind College of Mumbai.

Overall, Mithibai has better infrastructure but it also has a lot of attendance issues, which might be a hindrance if you are planning to say, pursue CA side by side.

However, HR has its own legacy, own brand and is pretty lenient in terms of attendance.

When it comes to courses, both of these colleges are on an equal pedestal, with brilliant professors all around.

Good luck.

I have scored 72% in class 12th and belongs to scheduled caste. Can I get admission in delhi university in ba programme?

Aryaman Tewari 29th May, 2019
Yes, definitely. You have a good chance, because your score is pretty decent, and SC cutoffs are generally substantially lower than General/OBC cutoffs.

However, do keep in mind that your score might not be enough for a North Campus college. It might be in the later cutoffs, but due to instability in the pattern over the years, you never know.

But, you should be easily getting into South Campus colleges and off-,campus colleges by the 2nd-3rd cutoffs.

Good luck!
