I don't know about Hindustan, but Vel Tech is very good. When you talk about the classes, it is all like learning a lot of new things and there is a huge encouragement, good and positive guidance from faculty members in projects, etc.

Apart from studies, there are many cultural programs, events, camps for NCC and NSS candidates. Comparing both the institutions, Vel Tech is a good option. The only thing is Vel Tech will be very strict and will hamper the enjoyments of your college life, whereas as far as Hindustan University is concerned, they will not be as strict as Vel Tech.
I am not pretty sure about the quality of education in Hindustan University but in as far as Vel Tech is concerned, it is good when it comes to studies.
