If I am in 6th sem of my graduation and I get offer letter from IAF to join for basic airman training. will I be getting leaves to give my sem 6 college exams to complete my degree? If not, what is advisable? to join IAF as an airman and leave the degree or miss the airman opportunity & get degree?

Sohamsengupta8 18th Jul, 2021

Hello Student

After joining IAF training.you can apply for study leave to appear for the third and final examination for your graduation. On the  other  hand it will be better for you to complete your graduation and then join IAF or Army or Navy whatever you can avail of the opportunity or whatever  will be your interest for. This is because the reviews information says that after servicing of 8 to 10 years you will get the promotion in IAF. The salary will be hiked at that point but the career prospect will be not so bright.  But if you complete your graduation and join in MBA course with CAT GMAT Xat exams your career will be  better than IAF services.

Hope this helps.

Please give me band score list general training IELTS four modules

Akshita Dhiman 9th Jul, 2021

Hi there ,

IELTS has for the section that consists of listening, reading, writing, speaking and each section is scored from 1-9.

The average of all the four band scores is your overall score. Now, individual section band scores can range anywhere between 5.0 to 7.5

Let's assume a scenario below: suppose your band score for each section is:

Listening: 6.5

Reading: 6.0

Writing:6.0

Speaking:5.5

The overall band score average of all these will be 6.

I suppose your average comes out to be 6.125, overall band scores will still be taken as 6. If it is 6.25, overall will be 6.5, if it is 3.875the, the overall band score will be 4.

So what should be a good IELTS score?

IELTS tests your English proficiency and anything above 6 is a good score.

Score-Remarks

A score of 9 makes you an expert.

8-Very Good

7-good

6-competent

Anything below 6 depicts that you have limited English skills.

So give your best and try to score above 6.

Im complete my general training IELTS with 6.5 bands and now what Im eligible for study in Canada with work

Akshita Dhiman 14th Jul, 2021

Hi there ,

Kudos on your score.

Apart from your IELTS score you also need a good academic background. Usually, the colleges accept a CGPA between 70-75%.

Other pre-requisites are listed below:

  • A minimum of 16years of education which means 12+4, HSC plus 4 years of college.
  • Some colleges also accept 12+3 years of education.it depends on a specific college.
  • A minimum of 6.5 overall IELTS score
  • A good GRE score is for engineering and science-specific courses. (check with the respective college, some accept without GRE score as well)

you could also additionally check the college requirements for more clarity regarding the educational qualifications.

Documents required

  • Letter of recommendation (LOR )
  • Statement of purpose (SOP), mostly 500 words.
  • Transcripts
  • Your test score report

Make sure to shortlist your colleges, check for the deadlines and apply accordingly. Ideally, colleges should be shortlisted 2 months before your standardized test schedule, as it syncs with the deadline.

Additionally, Canada accepts admissions thrice a year, or it has a fall session, winter, and summer.

  • For the fall session admissions start by September
  • Winter- starts from January
  • Summers-April and May.

Also, do not restrict yourself and apply to only 2-3 colleges. Apply for admissions in more colleges as it will increase your chance for acceptance.

I hope this helps!

Thank you!

what Im do study in Canada after general training IELTS

anirudha vats 6th Jul, 2021

Hi,

If you plan to study in Canada and wish to give IELTS for the same then you need to give IELTS academic module. IELTS general training module is for people who plan to settle in Canada or wish to work there. Both the modules are same with four sections but the listening and reading part is different in both the exams and the rest two, speaking and writing is same in both. The grading on the 9 band is also same in both.

I hope this helps.

All the best.

can i get a job after completing mpc / 12th in travel and tourism. and its ok for one year training allso

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 29th Jul, 2021
Hello,

You should not not look for short term career options and opportunities after completing 12th (if you don't have any financial burden).
Its always advisable to go for a better full time course in Bachelor's. You have mentioned that you are looking for a training of one year in travel and tourism and i am assuming you are thinking of doing diploma. But i would say doing diploma is not a good option because you will not have many opportunity so instead go for a degree course in travel and tourism from a good college.
Here are some top colleges :

  • Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition (IHM), Chennai

  • National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management

  • University of Mumbai

  • Banaras Hindu University (BHU)

I hope this helps.

please tell me all about general training IELTS after 12th. also tell me kiya mai general training IELTS krne k badd Canada mai study kr skti hu

anirudha vats 4th Jul, 2021

Hi,

Ielts exam is the English language proficiency exam which has two programs, one being the academic one and the other one being the general training. Both has four modules, listening, reading, writing and speaking respectively. Listening and reading is different in both the programs or test and the other two are the same. If you are planning for academic purposes then you should opt for IELTS academic rather than general training because general training is for either working people or for settling abroad.

I hope this helps.

All the best.
