M.Tech. in Transportation Engineering is a 2- year long full- time course divided into 4 semesters, with each semester lasting a period of 6 months. Rapid strides have been made over time in the field concerning design and construction of roads, but only recently the need of the application of scientific approach and technology in transportation and traffic management is being felt, for savings the costs and time involved in transportation. The course covers both engineering and management aspects of transportation systems, with particular emphasis on road transportation. The course includes subjects of study such as Transport Management Economics, Transportation, and Land Use Planning, Financial and Personnel Management, Traffic Engineering and Pavement Design. According to the marks, chances are very less for admission to Government medical colleges under AIQ and also under state quota.
You may try for admission to Deemed University.

Sandip University, Nashik is pretty good for M.Tech in Transportation with yearly fees of about Rs.60,000 and highest placement till date is Rs.9 LPA.

thank you for approaching us . yes you will need GATE result to take admission into m.tech in transport engineering . but there are colleges who demand for the GATE rank or the rank scored in the enterance exam conducted by there college itself . either of them is sufficient to take admission in this course .
