after having registered at the du central portal, what is the next step, for admission to ug courses, on merit basis?

Sharon Rose Student Expert 17th Jul, 2020

Hello,

After registration is finished you need to save the online filled application form and fee receipt for future reference. If you want to apply for minority colleges such as Jesus Mary college or St. Stephen's college you need to fill a separate application form with DU registration number and the admission procedure will be updated in their official website.

  • If you are not applying for these colleges then a merit list will be made available in DU portal with category wise cut off for each course and colleges will declare their cut off you can check the cut off list and based on that you give your preferences of course and college.
  • In next step you need to report to the college you have selected and provide your unique registration ID with the Teacher In-charge of the respective department in the college and complete your document verification by providing the original certificates.
  • After the document verification is done you need to login in the portal pay the fee within 24 hours.

Mohit Agrawal 8th Jul, 2020

you can check syllabus via this link https://ugadmissions.iiit.ac.in/ugee_page.html

syllabus includes PCM ,English and logical reasoning.

The level of paper will not be so much hard. If you are comfortable with English and if you can  solve logical problems easily then it would be very easy for you if you are comfortable in PCM of 12th level.

Which are the cheap and best countries and universities to Study UG Courses ? If so how to apply ?

Smeet Almeida 28th May, 2020

Greetings, aspirant!

You have not specified your field of interest. If you could please do so, it would really make answering your query easier. As for now, I'll list some countries that are excellent for the UG course education that they Provide.

  • USA : this is the country that harbours the highest number of students pursuing education overseas. Universities in the USA are top tier and most of the best universities in the world are located in the US. The technology used for education purposes, the flexibility of courses, the availability of some of the best professors in the world contribute to USA's position as the highest student sought after country for education. HOWEVER, the downside to this is USA offers the most expensive education in the world. The courses offered by Universities, although best of the best, are so expensive that most students have to take student debts that take a long time to pay off.
  • UK : As compared to USA, the expense of education in UK is a tad bit lower. Moreover, the Universities of England are excellent as well, many featured in the top Universities list of the world. However, the education here isn't exactly cheap either.
  • Canada : Canada is becoming a better choice to pursue an education for many students for the expenditure it takes on for the education of its citizens. The living costs as well as college tuitions are cheaper in Canada. Also, the immigration laws are not nearly as strict as USA's
  • Germany: For non English speakers, Germany is perhaps the best destination for education. High quality of life, affordable education, top tier Universities etc have made it one of the best countries in the world for education opportunities. There is also an abundance of scholarship opportunities for students both national and international.

Apart from these countries, there are also other countries that are widely considered as some of the most affordable education centers in the world. China and Russia, for example, are chosen by many Indian students who wish to pursue a career in medical science but can't do so in India due to the high costs involved. Countries like Singapore and Australia are also well known to offer quality education at much more affordable costs as compared to USA.

In the end, it all comes down to your preferences and conveniences.

Hope this information helped

Best of luck!!
