UGC NET stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. It is a National level exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for enrolment in Assistant Professors and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). It is conducted twice in a year in online mode.

Yes, it is true. UGC has issued revised guidelines on final year examination of all courses. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) permitted the conductance of final semester of final year examination in a letter to Union Higher Education Secretary. As of now the exams must be conducted by the end of September 2020. If a candidate fails to appear in the exam the university or institute must provide provision to appear in special examination conducted for such candidates.
