My niece done her O Level in UK with Bio Chem Math & Religious Studies. Wants to do medicine in India. But eligibility criteria for NEET is should have passed Eng Phy Bio Chem in 12th.Can she now appear only in Eng & Phy in Class 12 from any institution & become eligible for apprearing in NEET exam?

Tanay Kapoor 5th Sep, 2022

Hello,

To be eligible in NEET, you have to have passed all 4 physics, biology and chemistry (theory and practical) and english in 12th grade examination (equivalent to A level in UK not O level) without any exception.  So as long as PCB is passed in grade 12 candidate is eligible for NEET. Aggregate marks for PCB subjects in grade 12 should be a minimum of 50% for general category, 40% for SC/ST/OBC and 45% for PWD.

Hope this helps, for other queries you can ask here or directly contact the NTA or the institute you are attending itself.
